Happy winter holidays everyone!
I was just thinking while traveling this holiday season what it must be like to sit next to Amy's family on an airplane haha. This was a pose I made back in the day but never used of Amy heavily pregnant with baby number 7 while trying to manage... everyone else. I couldn't find an airplane setup that worked back then so I just left it but I decided to finally finish it. ;3
[40 weeks now and we're getting close! I really thought I would've gone earlier but this baby seems pretty happy where they are lol. My back pain as been flaring up quite a bit, this belly just feels soooo heavy. Baby is measuring 2 weeks overdue already and we had a discussion about induction but I really wanna see what's gonna happen if we can just give them another week.]
[With this belly getting bigger and bigger, it's harder and harder for me to reach things- you'd think I'd be used to it by now but sometimes I still forget and try to reach forward.]
[When I tell you that the moment we left the driveway I knew we weren't going to make it; I mean it. The icy horrible road conditions slowing us down didn't help things either. I could feel the baby coming, and I felt like I had to push literally as soon as we left. I tried to stop things from progressing but I knew there was no way I could fight it- it was a little too late and baby 8 was coming now. We were within 5 miles of the hospital when I finally couldn't fight the urge to push anymore so I got in the backseat and we delivered a healthy baby boy on the side of the road during a snowstorm. It wasn't at all how I had envisioned my birth plan going- but after being through this 7 times before, I know that sometimes these things don't quite go as planned! fastest labor I've ever had after so much waiting on this little guy!]
[Mason Carter- 9lbs and 10oz. Another huge boy lol ! He really surprised us because we really felt sure it was a girl this time!! but we're so glad he's here and we're settled at the hospital for a day before we can bring him home. This might be our last baby, although never say never???]
[35 weeks and baby 8 is still kicking up a storm here! Sometimes it takes me off guard- like even when I'm brushing my teeth and doing my skincare routine! They kick so strong I just have to stop for a sec lol]
[ 33 weeks and I'm feeling huge and rounder than ever this pregnancy, I have a lot of extra weight from having so many pregnancies back to back and having so many littles. I wish somebody would rub my belly down with some stretch mark cream! We decided to find out the gender early this time, and I'm having a boy! He is measuring ahead already, probably at least 7 lbs.]
[it's really starting to feel like go time tonight as things are getting stronger and stronger! I actually felt my water break in the bathroom and things are going faster than they ever have before- it feels like we were so overdue and now this baby is in a race to meet us, I hope we make it!]
[41.5 weeks and I'm FINALLY feeling some contractions this afternoon! It went from minor cramping this morning to full blown contractions so quickly it's actually kind of shocking. I'm just taking care of my 3 youngest and waiting on the rest to get back from school before making any moves just yet, this part usually takes me a while, but it feels kind of fast this time? I keep having to stop what I'm doing to breathe and try to push through it.]
