Yes An Ding is probably very utilitarian in terms of overall design and doesn’t have maybe the pomp and circumstance of the higher ranking peaks. But I think those little freaks are Fully embracing the power of having all of the materials and knowledge to just…Make Stuff.

Like yes Qing Jing is the adhd art peak but I refuse to believe that they’ve put a bunch of construction engineers on a peak with raw materials with Shang Qinghua as their Shizun and they haven’t done several little pet projects to their own buildings and way of life. Like you put those guys in front of some sticks and give them fifteen seconds of quiet and they’re already building away I know how they operate.

I just know that their peak is full of hidden fucking gems of architectural wonder that would make anyone with the smallest bit of understanding cry it’s just that literally no one of the other peaks care or they’re all already on An Ding and used to it. I’m sure the other peaks could benefit from knowing the goldmine they sit atop of but A Ding has other things to do. Zhou-Shidi just came up with a new door design that’s going to take five minutes less for installation (a great boon with how Liu-Shishu treats them) and it cuts down on lumber costs. Shizun gave them a half a day off and access to the spare materials storage to celebrate!!!

Yk i really am starting to understand why shang qinghua crashed oht and betrayed the sect to the demons, I got the role as operations manager for a school project, Im this close to crashing out, all the other operations and logistics manager from othwr groups are also currently crashing out holy shit there are a lot of things to cover 😭😭😭

Imagine Shen Yuan as SQQ mourning the loss of modern amenities like toothpaste the whole time but he can't complain to anyone about it except the system which doesn't really care.

Even after knowing about SQH he just presumed that SQH also was suffering the same fate only SQH just had them the whole time. Could be via the System in exchange for B points or he just wrote them in his personal notes while world building and realised that they existed at some point in time after transmigration and got them because he be An Ding or something like that.

Like SQQ just misses toothpaste a lot one day and complains to SQH only for SQH to carelessly be surprised, "What do you mean you miss toothpaste?" Realisation hits SQH that the stuff was in his personal notes so SQQ as he has previously presumed didn't know about all that. SqH is pretty dead if SQQ knows about it but the pause in conversation while SQH realised his mistake was long enough for SQQ to come to his own conclusions and yeah, SQH is pretty dead (don't tell MBJ)

Reading SVSSS and I realised that Shang Qinghua is most likely in charge of finances and accounting and internal affairs at the same fricking time. Like what? Cang Qiong why is your money guy also your internal investigations guy? That's prime position for so many, like so many crimes. Embezzlement is the least of it. He definitely took advanatage of that. Shang Qinghua was probably Corruption Georg, even without the literal, actual treason.

So SQH = Corruption Georg, but honestly that's on Cang Qiong, they should've known better after thousands of years of sect history and I'm now imagining generations of An Ding Peak Lords just cackling in massive amounts of embezzlement glee and SQH being just the latest incarnation of Corruption Georg in a long line of Corruption Georgs.

I desprately want to make an AN Ding peak OC to give An Ding peak some good press bcs they do all the dirty work and keep things running smoothly only to get bullied for being nerds

Justice for An Ding!

Everyone knows that An Ding is the uncool peak where the uncool kids go. But imagine if it was secretly the nerd peak.

It had the best library. Ever. Just ever. Engineering, mathematics, architecture, economics… It had it all. Manuals on how to build a bed. How to build a canal. How to make calendars (important back in the day). Formulas for cubic equations.   

And they were super super organised. They liaised with the big families that provided goods to the sects and had giant spreadsheets to keep things running. They had an army of disciples with extremely niche skills (who also got looked down on for their poor cultivation). They had like different departments in charge of different things, and if you went to the Department of Works asking for more budget for pastries, they would tell you off and send you to the Department of Revenue or something… and everyone knows that LQG just never goes to the right place which is why he thinks they’re incompetent. They accept and move on.

Liu Qingge growls, hand flying to his sword as he steps forward as if to lunge. Something catches on him, however, and he’s yanked backward.

He blinks in momentary, angered befuddlement, and turns around to see that Shang Qinghua, of all people, has his hand buried in Liu Qingge’s outer robe.

Incensed, Liu Qingge changes targets and turns to reach out for him instead, curse at the tip of his tongue, but something about his shidi makes him pause.

“What are you—“

“If you go and break things again, and give me more paperwork to do,” Shang Qinghua begins, voice so soft it’s just barely above a whisper, “I will eviscerate you.”

Liu Qingge scowls. He tries to tug his sleeve out of the other Peak Lord’s hand, but Shang Qinghua’s grip is like a steel trap, at complete odds with his smaller stature and the typical pathetic countenance that Liu Qingge has become used to over the decades.

Shang Qinghua leans forward a little so that their faces are closer together, and looks Liu Qingge in the eye. The blank expression on his face, for some reason, makes a cold sweat break out at the Bai Zhan lord’s hairline.

“Liu-shidi,” he says, almost gently but lacking in any sort of actual emotion. “I will debone you like a chicken.”

Liu Qingge stares at him. Shang Qinghua’s face doesn’t change.

He rips his sleeve out of the other man’s suddenly lax grip, and straightens, smoothing down his robes as he goes. He doesn’t reach for his sword, and instead watches as the line of Shang Qinghua’s shoulders relax ever so slightly.

After a long moment of silence, in which Liu Qingge pretends not to notice the perplexed and astonished stares of their fellow peak lords, and Shang Qinghua completely ignores them as if they aren’t even there, Liu Qingge lets out a low grunt and turns on his heel.

If he’s not going to find a fight here, then what’s the point of being present?
