Something I've always wondered about in mdzs is if Mo had been a woman and Wei Wuxian had been reincarnated into her body

Like tbh I don't think Wei Wuxian would care that much, because he barely cared that Mo's body had some significant differences. In the book, I think only really Mo's height and core being under-developed were the only real differences discussed (which I have a lot of thoughts about but that's not my point right now), but logistically I'm sure that was a huge adjustment and he seemed fairly neutral about it.

I wonder if Wei Wuxian would still identify as a man, or would he fall into a more gender-fluid/ nonbinary role? But my biggest question is how would Lan Wangji feel about it? I legit don't have answers, but interesting food for thought. My first reaction is that Lan Wangji feels so gay to me that I think he'd have a harder time with it than Wei Wuxian. I don't know if he could the gender nonconformity transness swag.

Poe: Hi, Ithas. I'm not sure how to word this message without making it super confusing, but I've been gone for a while. Not dead, just in some sort of coma. Whatever the case is, I promise, I'm safe. I know I haven't really spoken with you much, but I thought that you might be a good source for what's happened while I was gone, and especially more reliable than the anons. Plus, I thought it'd be nice to get to know you a bit better—we're family, after all.

Ithas: It's nice hearing from you again brother! I've gotten slightly more accustomed to this newfangled device but I would be happy to update you on the situation. I should warn you that there is some more dire news. Would you like to hear that now or later on?

[*They felt nervous texting Poe, not because of seeing them again but because they might brick their phone for the 10th time somehow and there'd be no backups, not anymore.]

So uh... That was cool and all but are you alright? And why were you, um, fighting them?

[*They're partially flattered from the brief bit of praise before acknowledging the rest of Norman's statement.]

It was a chance meeting but I can tell that the soul in that human wanted a fight, like a demand that would be acted upon no matter what.

[*Ithas mimed a lunging motion for a brief moment.]

Is there any reason you were concerned? I don't think I would've lost such a fight.

[*An unsteady smile comes upon Ithas's face at the sight of their dear companion.]

Despite not making the full trip I can already feel how different it is from my world, so much more varying in how everything feels. So much beauty awaits but I can't but feel hesitant to march further.

[*Ithas held a hand out to gesture around them, the bright darkness awaiting them seeming heavenly compared to the underground hell that they used to call home.]

So much change that I fear will be reverted, taken, from me. But it's beautiful, oh so beautiful.
