The Case of Gravity Falls/closed with d-i-p-p-e-r
Bell ran down the forest path, her gun; a Browning 9mm with silver amunition in her left hand. In her right was a blade as long as her forearm, held in front her to strike if the need arose.
After a few minutes, she sighed and put away her weapons and pulling out a map, which she stared at irritably for a few moment before walking down the path, slowly this time.
Soon she passed a sight, which read Welcome to Gravity Falls. Perfect, just perfect. The thing just had to run into a town, as if tracking it through a forest isn't bad enough.
She walked on, stoping at the small pie shop for lunch along the way. It was fairly empty, aside from a few people who paid her no mind. She pulled out a small binder and examined the contents; a pile of papers, most of them newspapers. The headlines read things like The Beast Strikes Again and Two more victoms of the Beast of Oregon.
Once she ate and paid the waitress, she set back down the sidewalk, passing small shops and stores along the way. Soon she came to an old lookig shack, with the words The Mystery Shack spelled out on the roof. She steps inside, looking around "'ello? Anyone here?"
