Analog Sunset - Only If
The dudes in Analog Sunset were kind enough to let us release their second EP “Shapes” a year ago. They’re kind of what started it all. Only If is one of the best songs on that EP, with a hook that just screams to be sung along to in the summer sun. The almost-lo-fi warmth and upbeat tempo of the song (and most of the EP) still gets us excited a year later, and we can’t wait to keep working with these guys.
For those of you keeping score at home: we finally uploaded FSR-001 (Analog Sunset’s “Shapes” EP) to our bandcamp. You can finally listen to, download, and purchase physical copies of our releases all in one place! Head to FurtherSkyRecords.bandcamp.com and support the cause!

Showcase: Analog Sunset
Guitars drenched in reverb and vocals swimming through a lo-fi haze are at the core of Analog Sunset. This New England trio has a carefree vibe to their surf-punk jams, made especially clear in their latest EP, Shapes. Stream all of Analog Sunset’s Shapes below and pre-order the cassette through Further Sky Records. Please list all of your band members and their roles in the band. Josh Forest - Guitar/ Vocals Joe Martorelli - Bass/ Vocals Joe Pietrocola - Drums
What's your hometown (or what are your hometowns)? JOE M: We all live in different cities< JOSH: Hartford, Beantown, Springfield, in that order.
How did the band come together? How long has it been? JOE M: We were all best friends throughout college and had a band during that time as well. JOE P: The band we started in college was really a great learning experience for all of us. JOSH: Couple years after we graduated college we all realized something was missing. We played music together constantly in school, but after graduation that all ended. Martorelli called me up and said, “we’re wasting the only time we’ll ever get in our lives to play music together.” I realized he was right, and I had a few songs already written that I thought could be the perfect start for a new project. All along, we knew we’d ask Joe P to be our drummer. So after demoing some stuff out, we started jamming on the songs as a live band.
How have you grown since you started? JOE M: Not very much actually. All of us are pretty much as tall as we will get at this point in our lives.
What sets you apart from other bands? JOE M: I feel like we are not afraid to try something new or put totally opposite genres together in the same song. We play what we like and we all like a shit load of different music. All of that comes through in our songs and we hold nothing back that may be 'too happy for us", "too sad for us" or too "mainstream for us" We don't put a label on music or take ourselves too seriously.
