hi friends, i know it's been forever but have a tiny thing i wrote to try and get me out of my slump.

based on this

“Just go over there and flirt with him,” Erica hissed, jabbing her elbow into Stiles’ side and ignoring the way he winced. She has her eyebrow raised, and he looks around pleadingly for support but finds none; Lydia and Allison were doing their silently-judging-you thing, and Kira and Scott were staring dreamily into each other’s eyes. So the usual, then.

Erica pokes him. "Seriously, what can it hurt? He is literally your type to a tee," she informs him, as if he doesn't already know that. The guy in question looks painfully good in red, the polo shirt straining over broad shoulders and thick biceps that look like they could support Stiles being fucked against a wall.

He fails to hide a shudder and Erica's smile widens like a shark smelling blood.

"No," he tells her, backing away slightly. "I refuse. Absolutely not. You know I don't know how to flirt anyway," he sighs, allowing himself another peek at the guy, barely repressing a whimper when he sees that he's bent over to stock some sort of canned good.

"What's happening?" Lydia chimes in, both eyebrows raised, and Stiles pales. Once Lydia gets involved in something, it's usually impossible to get out of it. He's screwed. Erica turns to Lydia with glee and nods at hot grocery store dude.

Lydia makes a noise of pleasant surprise, before she purses her lips thoughtfully. "No harm in trying. Now, listen and repeat everything I say," she orders, and Stiles lets out a moan of despair, burying his face in his hands.

Walking up to the guy is more nerve-wracking than the time he'd dropped the turkey Mrs. McCall had spent literal hours making during the Thanksgiving disaster of 2011.

"Uh," he coughs awkwardly, and the guy turns to face him. He sputters a little, his hands fumbling at the hem of his shirt nervously because, oh god, he's even more arresting up close, with a jaw that could probably cut through steel, and clear green-grey eyes. "Hi, uh," he squints at the nametag for a brief second. "Derek. Hi," he finishes lamely.

Derek's mouth twitches slightly. "Hello," he says graciously. "How can I help you?"

Stiles flushes, and he wrings his hands nervously.

"I was looking for the condoms?"

Derek's eyebrows fly up, and there's a flash of surprise on his face (something Stiles takes offense to, mind you) before it disappears under a neutral mask of professionalism. Derek can't seem to hide the flush dusting his cheeks, however, and Stiles lets it slide because it's possibly one of the cutest things he's ever seen.

"Of course," Derek coughs, avoiding Stiles' eyes. "Right this way." He gently sets the canned tuna back into his cart and glances over his shoulder to see if Stiles is paying attention.

Stiles is, of course, but maybe not to Derek's face. He was distracted by something far lower. Derek clears his throat and Stiles goes red, his eyes flying up to meet Derek's before darting away just as quickly.

They walk in fairly relative silence, and when they reach the condom aisle, Derek lifts a hand to scratch at his head awkwardly. It's very endearing.

"Did you need any help choosing?" he asks finally, blinking earnestly at Stiles.

Stiles grins easily, the nerves rushing back into his body and disappearing all at once. This he can do. "Whichever ones you usually use," he smirks, and doesn't miss the way Derek's eyes darken just that little bit.

He steps closer, and Stiles feels his stomach clench in anticipation. He's not prepared for the way Derek leans closer, brushing his mouth against Stiles' ear, and murmurs, "Tell your friends you'll see them later. I'll be waiting in the back room."

Stiles stands there, stunned, as Derek draws back, smiling smugly. He's got a box of Trojans in his hands, beginning to walk away calmly. He doesn't look back once.

With shaky hands, Stiles pulls his phone out of his pocket, and nearly drops it in surprise when he hears Erica yell out,

"Just go!"

His head snaps up to see his friends waving and laughing as they peer around the corner, and he scowls when Kira (Kira!!) wolf whistles. He flips them off with as much dignity as he can muster, but can't fight his blush spreading across his cheeks as he drops his phone back into and scurries after Derek.

6:Do you wish to travel a lot?Yes and no. On the one hand, yes because that would be so cool and interesting. On the other hand, no, because I am the laziest person in the world and I love to be able to chill comfortably. The ideal situation would be to do an amazing trip once or twice a year, which chillness for the rest of the time.

12:How did you meet your best friend and why did you become friends?Well we were both sent to the same pit of hell, which really brings people together I must say.No seriously, I met Ciara in 8th grade art class and we bonded over being fucking weeaboos. 

15:Things about someone that you find attractive?Confidence with humility. Intelligence without pretentiousness. Able to admit when their wrong while still able to stand by and argue their opinion. Physically, tall and muscular. Short hair and facial hair. The last two points are the most important.

18:A random memory from you childhood:So when I was a kid I went around barefoot a lot, not because I was a wild child, but in my mind putting on shoes and socks was the most time consuming effort on earth. why do we wear shoes it just takes so long to put them on, how can humanity deal with this. And then one day I was convince that my cat was in danger (she was fine) and I had to put my shoes on, and it only took a couple seconds, and I was like 'oh, why did I always think this took forever?' And then I wore shoes more often. 

21:Do you think you’d make a good parent?HELL YES. I'll make my kids wear adorable outfits and when they do something wrong I'll play and finish their video games for them and then i'll teach them an uncomfortable amount about sex and protection but I'll also make sure that they take shit from no one. My children will take over the world.

27:Name 5 facts about your appearance:1. Curly hair, usually brown 2. apparently a good nose according to my friends 3. taller than average but not enough to be noticeable 4. bigger than average boobs that I want to get reduced one day if I can 5. ridiculous big feet for a woman

30:How’s the weather right now?It isn't raining nor is it warm enough to wear shorts so it sucks

36:What is your favorite restaurant?A sushi restaurant near my house, they have my favorite roll~~ I haven't eaten their in a while tho

45:Do you come from a family “of money?”No. My extended family is upper middle class, but my immediate family has been lower middle class for most of my life, considering my father (who made good money) died when I was young and my mother was a stay at home mom, even after he died. So we made enough that I never went without, but it wasn't anything too glamorous either.
