Asiux:

★ Contrary to the perception that because Asiux takes joy in the company of bio-organics and that he appreciates their aesthetics, the Mechari does not believe himself to be an equal of them. There is nothing that has changes his belief of superiority, although it has nothing to do with being crafted by the Gods. They are mechanical constructs--sentient, but constructs nonetheless--who are ageless, more capable of logical action and contemplation. Their collective knowledge literally spans the entire lifetime of the Empire and beyond, which grants them more understanding than the much shorter-lived races, in his mind.

★ On the other hand, there is wisdom that the shorter-lived races have that Mechari do not, he believes. There is not only beauty, but a particular sort of passion that rises in the individuals around them. He also believes that they feel more deeply than Mechari do, although that in and of itself is directly tied to other, differing issues he faces.

Analysse

★ Despite her tough-girl attitude and quick moves to comfort others, Analysse actually is rather lonely. She is, of course, less so now that she has accepted Tesserarius’s presence (and fallen for him), but there remains a steady gap in her social life following her troubles and the expeditions to Nexus. As much as she loves him, Tesserarius cannot be the giggly girlfriend she takes shopping or sits down and tells about all the stupid, romantic things he does.

★ As if the state of her physique wasn’t enough to prove it, Analysse spends a ridiculous amount of time at her apartment complex’s gym. And other gyms. And sparring. She pushes herself to be in top-notch shape for when she expects she’ll eventually be pulled out of the Crimson’s reserves and officially put back out onto the field... or she receives word that she’s no longer shamed or stripped of title. Or because she’s pushing herself to be accepted by the Torine (she’s almost there!).

Analysse

Support. After all of her time spent under fire from her father’s mistakes, much of that was spent (she thought) unsupported. She had her mother and her brother, but her closeness and similarity to her father made things difficult--as did the fact that he took with him her Swordmaiden’s blade.

Encouraging independence. The last thing Analysse wants is to be around someone who buckles her down and keeps her from progressing where she thinks she could go. An understanding of when to be hands on and when to be hands off is imperative.

Hanifah

I would suggest not even trying, really. She’s a bitter, twisted up lady with a lot of hate.

Loyalty, respect of her history, her goals and her ship. A tolerance of temper and expletives. Patience.

Ida Mae

Kindness and a warm heart! Welcoming change and an acknowledgment of intellect (yes she knows a lot of people stare). Most importantly, an understanding of and respect for boundaries, especially those tied into traumas she suffered and generally doesn’t ever talk about.

"Timely for the season." Tesserarius muses as he places a hand at the small of Analysse's back. It is a moment's warning after a glance to the mistletoe. With a sweep he lifts and spins the Swordmaiden, the beginning of a dance step that dips into a dramatic flourish and culminates with an unhurried kiss. MUAH.

It is reflex more than anything that sees the Highborn woman lift her hand to place it against Tesserarius’s chest when he tucks a hand against her back, and the closeness is easily recognizable precursor to a step she has taken many times before. She draws a breath, arching a brow as she looks up toward him, then slowly toward the hang of mistletoe. Painted lips curve into an ‘o’ a split-second before he begins to spin her into improvisational dance steps.

She laughs softly as he lifts her, one of her heeled pumps slipping off her feet to clatter to the ground, but she makes no fuss, and as he slips her back to kiss her, the Swordmaiden extends her bare foot and drops one arm back dramatically as she eagerly returns the gesture.

Once aright again and the tips of her ears warm and flushed, she swats playfully at his chest and curls an arm around his shoulders. “I appear to have lost a shoe in the mayhem,” Analysse states simply. “It seems as though you shall have to carry me to the party tonight; ‘twould be improper to arrive solo-shoed.”

Tesserarius’s patience is a really big thing for Analysse. Considering their history before their revelations, there was a lot of tension and a lot of--on her end--rudeness. Regardless of all of this, Tess has remaind loyal and when the time came, loving. Even now he remains patient with her, understanding of her situation and the traumas that may or may not have been inflicted upon her during her re-education. He learns, he adapts, and he gives her time because time is one thing he has entirely in abundance.

♥ Do they have a ‘type’? Analysse & Valk

For actual romantic things? Analysse always thought she would go for one of the types in her cheesy novels--overly heroic, dashing and mysterious--and in a way she really has. He just happens to be a robot. All-in-all, Analysse adores confidence that doesn’t in earnest delve into the usual Highborn nonsense of arrogance.

I can’t say she doesn’t enjoy someone she can crush under her heels every once in awhile, though.

Valkurius doesn’t exactly have a type persay. While he is choosy about his partners in some ways, he is wildly varied in his attractions and his possible lovers. Confidence and culture, humor, these are things that he finds to be very attractive, but he truly finds himself drawn to those who can take the monster without being afraid. Because of his predatory nature, if he allows himself to let go and fully experience interactions with a lover, he can go in with teeth and nails. If he’s with someone submissive? He likes the chase and the game of breaking them down.
