He’s RIGHT. He’s right and she hates it. She can’t seem to stay away. Not from him. For all his flaws, and he has many, Davina finds herself drawn to the pork-rind eating, non-stop tweeting, absolute pain in the ass. She’d never admit to it out loud, and certainly not to him, but she needs him. He makes her darkness seem... not so dark. The horrible things she has done? Nothing compared to him.  Her thoughts are too loud. Too much. She needs them to be silenced. So, she does the only thing she can think of. Davina reaches out to Kai, grabbing his shirt and pulling him closer to her, slamming her lips to his. He can take her magic, she doesn’t care. She needs him.  And she HATES herself for it.

@anarchysings​ liked for a birthday starter (and is getting two because I have no self restraint.)

It was her birthday and a good portion of the school seemed to know about it. Alaric had gotten her this gorgeous bottle of red and Caroline had sent her a variety of chocolates from Europe. Along with some really pretty jewelry and don’t get her started on the new heels on her feet. She felt on top of the world and taller than it. And now she was gonna see if Emma and Dorian wanted to take her to dinner. 

They owed her some surf and turf as far as she was concerned. 

And the minute she saw him sitting on her desk, all of those plans went out the window and she set the bottle of wine to the side and stretched her neck. Feeling a headache coming on already. Yes, she knew he had escaped, but as far as she and Ric were concerned, he’d run for the hills the minute he’d gotten out of the prison world. But no, he had gotten back on the school grounds. 

With a flick of her wrist, a few boundary spells went up around her office, as if it weren’t already the most reinforced room in the school already. If he tried to siphon them, they’d hurt like hell, but he’d probably like that like the creep he was. “You are the last thing I want for my birthday, but if you’ve got that big of a death wish...” Her brows raise a little.

She could still taste the exhaust down her throat, the way it burned. Even after she saw Jeremy open the garage, it had taken about an hour to gather her will to get off the ground. She was alone, she was allowed to gather herself. She could take as much time as she wanted. After all, time meant nothing here. And that was one of the worst parts of it, you could go on and on and on, and none of it meant anything.

Once she was up, she poured herself a drink and found the atlas on the floor, recognizing something about it. The handwriting and how hard it was bared down. She’d spent months with him in that prison world, of course she recognized something as little as that about him. “Nova Scotia?” A little smile pulled at her lips, “Damon, you’re a genius.” 

Thank god he wasn’t there to hear her say that. Well, she could have lived with the embarrassment if he was there. God, she was so lonely. And then another sound made her head jerk up and she started toward it, part of her hoping it was her best friend waiting to take her back. However, when she saw him, she counted her blessings on being alone. “Kai...” Her throat was raw, but the anger rising up made her wish she’d grabbed one of the shot guns from the sheriff’s station to shoot him. It would be so easy. “Missed your prison that much, huh?” 

He was probably a hallucination, but at least he was someone to talk to.
