He especially didn’t like mornings when he woke up next to your warm body curled against him, your skin warm and flushed from the long night of sleep. “And where do you think you’re going, baby bird?” He murmured, a long arm curling around your waist to pull you back into bed before you even swung your feet over the edge. You smiled at the tug and let him guide you back beneath the thin blanket on the shared makeshift bed you two had put together. “I was just going to make some coffee, Ezra.” His fingertips danced along your hip as he tucked himself against your back, knees bumping up against yours, his chest flush to your back. There was very little of you that he wasn’t touching and if you didn’t know better it felt as if he was trying to just meld the both of you into one. “That delicious black go-go juice can wait a while longer. I would much rather have you within my grasp and watch as the sun kisses along your skin, lighting it aflame with each passing minute. You are far to warm a prize to let go and I am a selfish man.” His lips came to the curve of your ear, nipping gently before nuzzling just behind. He inhaled deeply before falling to a short snuffle, scenting your hair as his hand slipped further from your hip to the soft skin of your belly, knuckles dragging in a soft back and forth motion. “I could spend hours laying here with you. I cannot fathom a better use of my time here than indulging in the soft, supple touch of your skin to mine. How are you so soft? It is downright sinful, little bird.” Ezra tries to press against you more, eases a leg between your legs so he can butt his hips against your rear, leg curling around your own. “Ezra!” You can’t help but laugh at how he continues to try to mold to your body, keeping you held fiercely as if his very livelihood depended on it. Maybe his sanity. “Okay, okay. I’m not going to go anywhere. Just - Ezra, I do need to breath you know.” “Oh, I can take the very breath out of your lungs, can I? Just with a single touch?” “A single touch - “ You sputter. “You are literally wrapped around me like a snake.” “Ah, a constrictor?” He squeezes you and you laugh. “Or am I to be a viper instead?” His teeth set on the edge of your neck in a sharp bite. “Perhaps a python and I could swallow you whole...” “All snakes swallow things whole, Ezra. You aren’t making any sense now.” You tease him. “Aw, come now. Don’t you go and spoil my fun. We both know my tongue can slip away from my mind, birdie, especially when I’m with you. You tend to get me all sorts of mixed up.” He presses another kiss to the back of your neck and you feel him settle in, breath coming in short little puffs. “Ez?” “Mm, birdie?” “I love you.” “I love you too, birdie.”
