Cynthia held Morgan’s head still as the girl bled out in her lap, trying to at least make sure she was comfortable. The shattered remains of Cynthia’s only healing staff lay over the rocks, broken and useless from when she’d been forced to use it to block a blow from a Risen. 

“I won’t.” She whispered to her friend, tugging Morgan’s tactician cloak around her body to try and hide the gashes along her chest. At least she could stop anyone else from seeing her like this when they found them. “I won’t forget you, Morgan.”

One hand stayed on her head, stroking her hair as her other hand took Morgan’s to squeeze it, staring into her eyes even as the life slowly started to inevitably fade from them. 

“I’m right here. It’ll...”

She couldn’t bring herself to say it would be over soon. She shuddered, squeezing her eyes shut to steady herself before opening them again. “...it’ll be over soon.”

Morgan’s presence is extremely comforting to Lucina. She’s never realized how her father felt about Robin (when they aren’t her mother) and how one’s presence can be that comforting, but she supposed like father, like daughter.

Not only is Morgan really comforting to Lucina, but she also appreciates her optimism and youthful vigor. She sometimes yearns for the ability to feel that cheery once more, but remembers she has her duties and she wouldn’t want to take Morgan’s role as the group’s ray of sunshine.

Morgan, being a magic user, can captivate Lucina should she ever use tomes. She doesn’t feel envy, for Falchion’s the only real weapon for her, but she still appreciates the power and beauty of magic.

Should Lucina learn that Morgan’s not from the same universe as her, she wouldn’t care too much. However, if she learned Morgan had assisted in the destruction of a different world, she’d reluctantly raise her sword to her unless she sword absolute loyalty and could prove her trust.
