I have more random Jedi worldbuilding because if Lucasfilm won't do it then by gum I will. I'm posting this because I have made the very important decision that Calia and Philomena are indeed still Padawans. Anyway
Jedi: Stages of Pre-Knighthood
Crecheling. From the time a force-sensitive child is brought to the Temple to the time he is ~8 years old, he is considered a crecheling. He mostly remains in the creche with his crechemates and masters, and the majority of his education consists of socialization, reading and writing, basic math, and basic force proficiency.
Youngling (also known as a Novice). From ~8-14 years old. A novice is more integrated into wider Temple society, and her schoolwork begins to become more specialized to her talents, temperament, and personality. Her force instruction is primarily focused on lightsaber skills and proficiency, and at the end of her novitiate, she travels to Ilum to find her crystal and construct her lightsaber.
Junior Padawan. After constructing his lightsaber, a Novice is eligible to be selected as a padawan. He will be chosen by or assigned to a master, and his instruction will broaden to becoming a Jedi in the wider context of the Galaxy. A junior padawan usually accompanies his master everywhere, except for when he returns to the Temple for educational exams or progress assessments by the Council.
Senior Padawan. When the Council assesses the progress and maturity of a junior padawan and judges her worthy to advance in her journey to knighthood, she becomes a Senior Padawan. This usually happens between the ages of 18 and 20, but it will be different for each individual. A senior padawan is still beholden to her master, but she begins more fully to live as though she were a fully professed knight. That is, she is free to go where she pleases, enjoys quite the degree of independence from her master, and begins to take on the duties of whatever specialized path she is called to (i.e. crechemaster, archivist, healer, etc). She will also continue to be routinely assessed by the Council, as they monitor her growth until they deem her ready to undergo the Trials— the timing of which varies for each padawan, but usually occurs around the age of 25.
So Calia and Philomena, in their early 20s, are still Senior Padawans, and not yet fully professed knights.
