Cluttered - Anchorless
You are anchorless.
Life can change in an instant.
You’re getting to the end of the line, the end of your patience with the obstacles life keeps throwing at you, and someone throws a life jacket out into the stormy waters that you didn’t expect.
It’s dark. You’re alone. It’s pouring down rain. The waves are crashing. It’s freezing cold. Nothing to grab hold of, especially your sanity.
But then someone gives you a glimmer of hope, and everything changes.
Words spoken, actions taken—it sometimes doesn’t take much. You don’t even realize at first that you’ve been thrown a life jacket because you’re so caught up in your own weather. And then you realize, your life just changed forever.
Maybe you didn’t even know you needed the help. Maybe you’ve been out on your own for some time now, and you didn’t even need the support. Maybe support is something you’ve never gotten, so it’s something that you don’t take lightly. You’re in the middle of the ocean and all you want to do is throw your life jacket away to help someone else. And then, when you receive one, you’d rather toss it aside for another and hold your own ground.
But how do you know what ground is when you’ve never had a solid thing to stand on?
In every aspect of life, as long as you are one that often gives help, there is a hand reaching out to help you. And, in every aspect of life, things are not always as bad as they seem to be. If your business doesn’t work out, you have the power to try again. If you job doesn’t work out, you have the power to try again. If you don’t like the town you’re in, you have the power to move away.
There are gears in the machine of our lives that we can choose and turn ourselves. But there are also gears that we don’t control that will turn in the machine as well, gears that are unexpected but inevitable.
When you come to a gear you don’t like, do your best to flow through those gears like wind and waves. Progress, shake it off, and carry on. Be that water that is tossing you and turning you in the ocean and flow through life as God and nature take you. You can’t fight the storm; be calm and believe that you will be carried back to shore.
And when you see a life jacket... grab on.

“Are you still scared, my friend? What if it’s all true in the end? They say they won’t take us away, and if they do, don’t worry. Your friends are safe. Now, here we go again. Message fly through the air. Please, please, please, please don’t take us away, and if you do, just promise my friends are safe.”
Anchorless.
