Ancient Oaks in the Fog by Lana Gramlich
My name is Lana Gramlich. I’m a nature photographer living in New Orleans.
I was born Friday the 13th in the Bermuda Triangle and sold on the black market (no lie!) I grew up on the Gold Coast of Long Island, N.Y. and spent 16 years in Canada before moving to the Greater New Orleans area in 2003. I’m happy to be a cancer survivor. My award-winning works have appeared in numerous forms; on TV, book covers, newspapers and magazines, in public spaces, screensavers, calendars and more.

"ENTHRALLED WALTZ"
“ENTHRALLED WALTZ”
I’m longing for a slow waltz on a sultry, moonlight night,
With veranda doors thrown open to the breeze,
With the heady scent of lilacs and only moon light,
To illuminate the swaying willow trees…
… As the violin’s sweet music plays a haunting, soft refrain,
And ghostly, white magnolias scent in the air,
My blood flows so hearty like molasses through my veins,
as dreams take flight where once…

Ancient Oaks 100
So, it's December 20th already. My first 100 mile run is tomorrow. I've been dragging ass on cooking food and packing. I sort of have a handle on it but I was up late last night getting ready. I was told by my coach, Susan Anger, to get an early night. That didn't happen. I have a full day of work, then race home to pack my SUV, say goodby to my pups and make sure they have food and play stuff to take with them to my Ex wife's house for the weekend. Then an hour drive to Best Western, Titusville. Hopefully I'll get an early night...yeah, right!
