anCnoc 16 Year Old is an absolute classic for lovers of honest, fruit-forward single malts without all the frills. It comes from the Knockdhu distillery in the Scottish Highlands, which bottles its whiskies under the name anCnoc (Gaelic for ‘the hill’) to avoid confusion with the Knockando distillery.
What makes the anCnoc 16 special is its uncompromising maturation: it spends its entire 16 years exclusively in carefully selected American ex-bourbon casks. There is no sherry or wine cask finish here – you can taste the pure, elegant interplay between the light, signature house spirit and the American white oak.
