I need u to be an obnoxious parent and tell me cute/funny things your toddlers done/said cause im missing my babies (not babies, not actually mine but mine) 😭😭😭
Oooooh wow I can talk about that all day. Okay, so obnoxiously cute/funny things my toddler's been doing lately:
demand that I pretend to cry, only so he can go "Oh, no, poor mama" and then come around to pat my butt (like we do with the baby to soothe him)
repeat every thing me or my husband says to each other in the loudest voice possible: "I'm kinda wanting a pasta salad for dinner today--" "DADDY, MAMA SAYS SHE WANTS PASTA SALAD FOR DINNER TODAY!" "Yeah, okay, buddy, I'm literally right next to her, I can hear--" "MAMA, DADDY SAYS HE CAN HEAR YOU!" bonus points if he can put himself nose-to-nose with us while shouting.
"Remember, you're a big boy now, so--" "CAN I USE A VERY SHARP KNIFE?" "Uhh, no. That's only for grown-ups." He will then make a "Hmpf"-sound and make a face like being a big boy is not worth it unless there's a sharp knife involved
insist on kissing the baby at all times, no matter who he has to climb or crawl over to do so (he kisses the baby so so so carefully (and he's not a careful guy) and my heart explodes every time)
steal everything remotely resembling a cane so he can go around pretending to be an old man. does not respond to his name, only "hey, old man!" when he's in character.
sometimes answers like the world's most polite grown-up, like: "You want some more rice, sweetie?" "Yes, please, I would rather like that, thank you, mama." (other times he will go "uhmmmmmmm, no, not today.")
He is really into animals and often corrects the grown-ups in the most patronizing voice ever: "Oh, look, the boy in the book has a dolphin toy just like you!" "That's an orca, daddy." (He was right) "Look at that cute little monkey!" "It's called a gibbon, auntie." (Right again)
will swan dive from tall surfaces and smack down to the ground and just go "oh, that was such bad luck" while he dusts himself off and climbs up to do it again
start to dance to the vaguely rhythmic sound of me chopping vegetables
exclaim "Oh, today is such a beautiful sunny day" whenever we open the curtains, no matter what the weather is actually like outside
sleeps with a minimum of five books in bed, all his stuffies have retreated to his old crib
