you've basically said it. the main trope for the AU is simplified "gaining weight as a symbol for healing" but taken to more extremes lol

living with the expectations he had in piltover shaped his view of himself, 100%. having to look and perform perfectly to be liked, etc. but to me the time in the ravine changed him a little bit as we saw in the show, the thoughts still linger tho. he could also have experienced fatphobia during his childhood/teens so internalized fatphobia could be ingrained in his head as well

i also headcanon him as a people pleaser, so he doesn't want to plague viktor with his own struggles. he helps vik with accepting his gaining but cannot accept his own.

viktor didn't gain a lot in that time, still noticable on his frame, but jayce gained a more significant amount. he only really noticed it as his shirts started to get tighter around his arms and belly, which started to make his thoughts spiral

early on, he doesn't show his discomfort openly in front of vik, it mainly manifests for him with staring to long at his changing (and also aging) body in the mirror or avoiding it entirely, picking at his clothes, the anxiety when being around the townspeople of what they think or constant doubt that vik wouldn't love him anymore. viktor catches him one time, looking into the mirror at his body with a saddened expression. v would offer to talk about it as they don't want to keep secrets/struggles from each other anymore and assures him that he doesn't have to go through it alone

over time he slowly grows to love his bigger body, it takes time and he sometimes still spirals but viktor's own enthusiams rubbed a bit off on him. he enjoys the attention viktor pays to his heavier body. since he mainly gains on his upper body his arms also get quite large, there's still functional muscle mass underneath so he's still strong tho. vik once told him how much he loves his hug, especially with his bigger and softer arms, and it made him really happy about them. as he grows he also slowly starts to enjoy the feeling of tighter clothes more, and sometimes bursting out of them

the both of them also find their joy in cooking, as it is a necessity, but just cooking for the other or together is something they both look forward to. jayce especially, who's main act of love is cooking meals, besides physical touch (to me). they also start indulging in it more and more and unlearn the shame/doubt they both had at the start, it takes them a while but they'll get there together

for the both of them it is freeing to not care about what others think, they finally have each other and intend to enjoy this new secluded life to the absolute fullest

later on when viktor discoveres that the arcane is still in him, and he figured out how to change their weight jayce got really excited because he wants to experience being larger than viktor and now is able to indulge in that too👀

Being Queer

Personally, I have always been transparent regarding my beliefs and lifestyle

I believe that trans ADULTS should have access to all the medical support they require

One of my best friends is gay and I dated a girl my freshman year of college (before meeting my first Italian daddy ).

I do not want to live in a world where people are not allowed to love and live as they desire . Luckily, I am American.

This is the best place to live authentically, imo.

I wear a pride charm among my charm bracelets to work daily .

I feel that patients who would have an issue with that request another physician.

Generally, I find it is the opposite, and parents feel comfortable speaking to me regarding their children’s “emo” stage of development.

Please always correct , explain, but support your children .

At home , I have a small pride emblem by my door , so those who enter understand me , and only bring in good vibes

I notice that I am mostly attracted to girls who are amazingly different and understand everyone is allowed to live their own life by their own rules , as long as they are not hurting anyone

This is why I dislike the Christian conservative pro life Karens of Tumblr.

They are not my cup of tea .

Their energy is foul.

Interesting they are more outspoken and judgmental regarding dismantling women’s pro choice /pro abortion rights than the conservative men are

Yes , I DO have a conundrum with conservative men ,

primarily bc they are just as obsessed with land ownership, prepping , agriculture, and personal protection as I am .

I want a life where the land provides , not the grocery store

(I am currently unhappy that there is no space to plant my fav vegetables; broccoli, spinach , asparagus , and beets )

I need someone who has the back ground knowledge of how to handle themselves with wildlife, unstable rivers , and bad people
