Jenna Coleman and Tom Hughes—they clean up nice in any century.
When you get a chance to see it, the ITV series Victoria is really nice. Terrific performances with a sweet and romantic story. There are incredible costumes, set, and locations as is often the priority in these British period dramas. I’m sure there were many instances of artistic license in the telling but I didn’t watch it to learn history, I wanted to learn the myth.
Apparently playing the number-one celebrity couple of the nineteenth century has led to a twenty-first-century romance, as Jenna and Tom have regularly appeared together at events in London, outside of promoting the series. I’m not generally very invested in celebrity romance and gossip, and I’m not really invested here except to suggest: they sure is a purdy couple.
