What if the characters from Animal Hospital used to be regular animals who were pets.
Hear me out, my theory is that Animal Hospital takes place in a post apocalyptic world, humans are absent, animals have taken over.

I placed another chocolate order from Canada. Way back at the beginning of November. The last time I did that, pre-tariffs, I had my chocolate in hand days earlier than expected.
This time? It has taken almost a full month and it's still not here yet. Tracking said last Monday that I'd have it Friday. On Friday, tracking said I'd have it today. Tracking this morning continues to say it will be here today, but ...

Tracking also added a note explaining that I might have outstanding import taxes and fees. Best I can tell, I don't -- the notice seems to be missing a yellow banner with a "pay now" button. But ... a $12 surcharge on top of other fees, because I didn't pay online before my package arrived?!
And look at the list of possible fees they could charge.
This whole thing is insane.
Ok, I’m tired of angst. Here’s a silly headcanon I got:
One reason why Snufkin leaves in winter is because he knows he cannot win hide and seek against Moomin with all that snow, and it bothers him.
The other months? Snufkin is dressed in green, his hair is brown… he has the upper hand 90% of the time. But in winter???
Oh, in winter… poor guy sticks out like a lily in a pond. There’s no way he can hide, and there’s no way he can find Moomin easily.
Unless of course, the big marshmallow giggles so much Snufkin can hear him. Or maybe, Moomin makes noises to give him hints, because he feels bad.

I found out there’s catnip for rats
Of course its cheese.
I want chocolate, a warm hand on my crampy tummy, cuddles under a blanket, gentle head caresses, fingers threading through my hair, nails scratching my scalp, and kisses until I forget I ever wanted to bite you for breathing too loud. Bonus points if you tell me I’m still the prettiest mess you’ve ever seen and that I’m such a brave girl for surviving this monthly apocalypse straight from the fiery depths of hell.
