😤 - describe a time the rpc has really annoyed the hell out of you
Apologies to anyone I offend but I’m just going to post my opinions here. There are two things that make me insane.
1. The hypocrisy of it.
It drives me insane when people post about how players should get to write what they want with who they want but don’t be disgusting and write this, or don’t just want to write with my male muses, or don’t just .... It literally makes me bananas when I see people wanting to police other people in the rpc about what they can write and who they can write with. Absolutely you should get to choose who your partners are, but they shouldn’t have to write with one of your female muses just to get to interact with you. If they want to write with one of your male muses and you like the plot idea, why are you holding an arbitrary condition over their head like a weapon? Why can’t they just ask to write with a muse? You all have people afraid to just ask for who they want. They should get to. I consider it a compliment that anyone wants to write with any of my muses. They also shouldn’t have to have male muses just to get to interact with you. Many of my favourite rp partners prefer to write one or the other while others prefer a range. I only write males but no one demands that I have female muses in order to write with me.
Sometimes I manage to find it amusing to find a post on someone’s blog that points out that anyone can write what they want on their blog and then two posts later, point out that you’re gross if you write bdsm or smut or similar. Like what are you doing? Do you just not read what you post? Some days (like today) I am grouchy and just find it annoying.
2. The cancelled culture leap to judgment.
There have been numerous examples of this lately and have been for years. But it still makes me absolutely crazy, especially when they use court, litigation, or an arrest as evidence. Big recent example - Amber Heard and Johnny Depp (that isn’t how the legal system works people - just because he alleges it, does not make it a fact - trust me on this one - until that evidence has been tried in a court of law, you’ll find me on that fence over there, waiting, as any sensible person should be). Jussie Smollett is another. Everyone was denouncing him like crazy and look at that, the police just dropped all charges.
I get that under 30s are a judgmental group but man, the rpc is more brutal than most. Everyone take a fucking breath.
