what would be Cody/Noel's dismission events like? are they possible? and how would Cody act if PC started avoiding him? for both high and low love/lust
I didn’t plan on Cody’s and Noel’s Dismissal events for their characters, tbh as Dismissal events are usually reserved for LIs, specifically the persistent ones who harass or pressure the NPC in some way ( Avery’s dates, Whitney’s bullying, Kylar’s stalking, Robin’s Debt ). And like. Cody and Noel aren’t really meant to be LIs, more so than expanded upon Person of Interests / NPCs whose interactions are up to the PC, meaning the frequency of their meetings is solely on the Player, not on them.
HOWEVER
It is possible to get a Dismissal-like ADJACENT event for Noel, and that’s for PCs who keep trying to engage sexually frequently with either Noel, her employees or her customers. PCs who act in such a manner do NAWT raise Noel’s Love, and as a result of those numerous instances, would eventually ask the PC to come with her to speak to them for a moment while in the shop.
Taking the PC into the Inventory Room of the shop, Noel will viciously beat the PC, maximizing their Trauma, Pain and Stress. After doing so, would drag the PC through the shop for other customers to watch as she throws them out the shop, saying the PC is permanently banned from Ursine’s Lodge, saying that their behavior is more suited for the Brothel, or Strip Club, not her shop. The PC will no longer be allowed to have business, or enter, Ursine’s Lodge, locking them out of interacting with Noel. Whoever had given the PC the token to get inside the shop will also catch wind of their banned status and will suffer a drop in that NPC’s Love for “embarrassing” them.
Though, that doesn't account for the fact that Noel has a LOT more Game Over scenarios with the PC instead. Essentially, scenes where the PC gets killed by Noel, usually as a result of pushing certain things while Noel's Love is low and her Paranoia is high. From breaking into her home and finding "Zuri", catching her while killing someone, or walking into the kitchen while Noel is cooking for Linden/Remy's party. There's probably even more scenarios for the PC to get murked by Noel, but those are the main big ones, for right now.
As for the second part of the question, Cody is sort of... confusing? Because he is the obsessive type, but he's VERY picky about who he gets obsessive about, unlike certain people. ( Oliver/Kylar ) Like, he's dated Sage/Niki, but he's not acting mentally unwell about them. What determines Cody's obsession over a PC, is not just Love and Lust, but his Respect for the person. Low Respect, Cody will treat the PC a bit condescending, that he is doing them a favor for interacting with them. High Respect, is when Cody starts to act a bit more fixated, eager to please and earn their affection. Which the only way to do so is by showing feats of being capable, independent, and leader-like qualities. Which, considering the situation from the town, it is generally difficult for regular PCs to earn Cody's Respect into High levels, as most have it on Low, or Mid. PCs with good affinity within the Criminal Underground, or spiritually in-tune with the town, have a better chance of earning Cody's Respect into High levels.
Which is to say, if the PC avoids Cody, as a Person of Interest, Cody's mechanic won't have him seeking the PC out. It'll be up to the PC to interact with him again, which, when they find him again, at Low Respect & Low Love, Cody treats them in a dismissive manner in playful tone. Their absence hasn't affected him and they haven't really done anything to earn his attention. At High Love and High Respect, is when Cody makes a comment about it, when the PC talks to him again. Delighted to see their appearance, he welcomes them back with an affectionate hug, rubbing his face playfully against the PC to annoy them as he says that he missed them. At High Lust, there is a slight detail change of Cody pressing the PC's body close to his, the noticeable sensation of his erection pressing against them. Cody's grip turning more tight, as he 'apologizes', saying that it's been so long that he's been feeling a bit pent up.
Which the PC's actions after that determine whatever happens lmao
