She reminded me of the time when we went to Otakon (local anime convention) and we were in... middle school. There was a cardboard cut-out of George Bush and we took pictures pretending to stab him with katana. We laughed about it in the car when her mom came to pick us up and both of her parents are HUGE Republicans. Her mom asks us what we were laughing about and I (like the dumbass I am) tell her what we did and her Mom got silent and tense and I remember looking at my friend like “oh what did I do?” Then her mom tells me if I don’t like our president I can leave the country. To which I reply “haha, no thanks”. My friend is super shy and really reserved and she was laughing but hid her face in her shirt while I just sat there watching her mom death stare me through the rear-view mirror. After that my friend tells me her Mom was like “I don’t like that girl”. We continued to be best friends so, OOPS.
