He fluttered his eyes and couldn’t help chuckling a bit at her comment. “True, true. But I don’t like everyone. Not everyone is my friend.” He turned back to her from were he worked at building a small toy for one of the DC children. I wooden figure of a dragon they had seen in a book once. It wasn’t that detailed yet, but it would be. He smiled fondly at her.

“friend. . .do you always call such oddities friends? ” 

An almost puzzled look crossed her face before disappearing. “ or just complimenting those you can stand to be around . . .what are you working on?” the small toy catching her eye as she took a few steps close to get a better view of it.
