It's the same sad fate that has befallen vampires, fairy-folk, mermaids and the once flesh-eating unicorn; what originated as a frightening, grotesque abomination of nature has been romanticized to the point that it's barely even categorized as a monster anymore. How often do you even hear the term used to describe a dragon? They've been elevated to a category supposedly "above" monstrousness, to almost god-like fantasy animals idolized by misunderstood teenagers. Now, don't get me wrong; the dazzling Heavy-Metal-album new-age dragon has its place in popular culture and can be executed in a lot of sincerely cool, fun ways, but it just seems a shame to completely discard the western dragon's grungier, ghastlier past. Time for an art lesson!

stupid things I did today

try to melt chocolate with my lighter (it caught on fire)

try to break off a piece of said chocolate with a very sharp knife and end up pressing on the sharp side of the knife with my hand

try to see if i could in fact sew my own skin without going deep enough to bleed

try to set a crayon on fire

set a tissue on fire (cause, ya know, you can never set fire to too many things) 

re-attempt to shotgun an energy drink
