Call me an asshole but there’s OOC (normal, garden variety, out of character but also reasonable suspension of disbelief. AUs still resemble some core aspect) and then there’s OOC (completely disregards everything that made That Character/writes something that is the antithesis of that character and essentially just uses them as a faceclaim for an entirely different character) and the latter is….. perplexing
Like past a certain point you’re just writing an OC, so I don’t understand why people don’t just…. Do that.
