what are your favourite kakashi's dynamic with other characters l? i mean as a ship or a duo, whatever you want to answer :)
I mean, obviously. I love Kakashi and Obito in any shape or form. I love them as friends, as enemies, as lovers and I am so very weak for a combination of all of those things at once. I also love them just as they are in canon, although I do wish we got more of them.
Summarizing all the things that make them my favorite pair is a task way too big for me to get into right now, but I mean, they keep doing this thing:
I never really post about them but I'm a big fan of Kakashi and Yamato just...being. Ship or not doesn't matter, I just enjoy the way they're both jaded, overworked ANBU kids who have probably spent ridiculous amounts of time bored out of their minds on stakeout missions where they've communicated exclusively with sign language and eye-rolls. I like the way Kakashi subjects Yamato to light bullying and sneaky mind games every chance he gets and that Yamato goes along with it while grumbling and acting like he's not happy at all even though he clearly is. I know this routine. I see you.
Also love how Yams takes his frustration out on snooty baby Kakashi instead of the grown up version. Hit that kid! He deserves it later! <3
Kakashi and Gai! Of course! Canonically eternal rivals who sleep next to each other and go on vacations together and know each other by heart. Like, Obito and Kakashi may be my wow big main favorite pairing but there's no way in my mind that you can deny that Gai and Kakashi are for reals a couple. I wouldn't want to deny that! I love them! They are happy together and that makes me happy. When I've gotten my fill of tragedy and sexy eye trauma I can wrap myself up in the youthful blanket of love and support.
Also they are an endless source of stupid fun and they bring out the weirdness in each other.
Kakashi is so good with Naruto and it makes me really happy. That's his very intense adoptive son! It's Minato and Kushina and Obito (somehow) wrapped up in one unique individual.
This is one of those things I didn't pay attention to at first because sure, I've been a fan of Naruto for a long time but I haven't actually cared all that much about Naruto the boy, the character. The episodes where Kakashi explains how to develop his new wind jutsu really changed that because I realized just how much I have in common with this blond adhd mess of a kid. I still don't get the fuckin change in chakra whatevers because I can't focus on the information, the animation and the subtitles all at once. Also why are the names so long and so similar?
ANYWAY, the point is that Kakashi knows Naruto well enough and is attentive enough to realize when he is moving too fast or explaining things in a way his student can't compute. He adapts. Kakashi also knows exactly how to press Naruto's buttons to achieve maximum effect, like, mentioning how fast Sasuke learned the chidori. He's also got this teaching thing where he can be a bit cold and almost mean but then he slaps his student with insane praise seemingly out of nowhere and it just blows their minds. Like when he tells Naruto that he believes he's the only one who could surpass the fourth hokage, which is huge praise for Kakashi to give since Minato was his big hero, and he means it. He doesn't say it as a trick and he doesn't say it to be nice. He says it because he truly believes in his student.
Also he messes with him all the time in very funny ways. That's love right there <3
