markiplier fans please just try to understand that not every single thing mark does creatively has to be linked to darkiplier or wilford or wkm or any other fucking ego, let the man be creative without being tethered to this one cast of characters; its all fine and good to joke or be curious about heist 2 or make fan content but not every new bit is a new ego or tied to preexisting egos. even as a fan its exhausting to see the whole "OMG ITS DARKIPLIER!!!!1!!!!111!!!!" every time mark decides to deepen his voice even a little bit or like when hee hoo happened and everyone was like "OMG NEW EGO THIS IS AMAZING" like thats just disrespectful to the prexisting egos and the effort mark has actually put into them lmao. just.... relax yall. he'll tell us his stories when hes ready

Wait . . . But how is Darky a slur? I’m sorry I’m just confused. I don’t think it has anything to do with his skin color, I think people just call him that because putting “y” and “ie” after a person’s name is the most common way to get a singsong sounding, shorter nickname. I’ve seen people do Wilfy and Hosty too. I know how it sounds, but I don’t think anyone’s trying to call him a slur to be harmful. Would Darkimoo be better, since Mark is often called Markimoo?

no i dont think people are using it as a slur AGAINST him but that doesnt stop the words being slurs in the first place! "d*rky"/"d*rkie" are common ethnic slurs used against black people, (literally just a simple google search) and just because darkiplier isnt a black person, doesnt stop those words from having connotations and shouldnt be used in such a casual way
