A Simple Outfit

This is just something I can throw on in a rush without having to worry too much. I’ve got lots of textures in there from the coat, the turtleneck and the boots. After yesterday’s polish, I think it’s time I give these boots a good going over.

Feels Like Autumn

It finally feels like autumn here and I’ve got the chance to wear this awesome Andersen-Andersen turtleneck. The sweater is symmetrical which means that it’s the same at the front and the back so it doesn’t matter which way you put it on. My friend, Olof, described the wool as ‘crispy’ and I can’t think of a better description. I’m wearing a t-shirt underneath  and the wool doesn’t irritate my skin. It’s incredibly well-made and will last for years.

I’m also wearing a Kapital Ring Coat. This variation (and there are many!) is made of melton wool and I think it drapes really well. The collar you see is actually the rolled up hood and the fabric lends itself well to being rolled. There are numerous ways to wear this piece (with all the draw cords and buttons) so if you do get one, feel free to experiment. That’s the beauty of a piece like this.

On a cold autumn day, what better footwear than a pair of shell boots. These are one of the most beautiful pairs I own and I look forward to the days that I wear them.
