Hudson Hawk 1991 Action/Comedy Hudson Hawk Bruce Willis is a just released from prison world-famous cat burglar who just wants a cappuccino. But his plans to acquire the frothy beverage are constantly thwarted by other peoples plans for him and his infamous talents. Soon he stumbles down the rabbit hole of burglary again at the behest of Darwin Mayflower (Richard E Grant) and his mildly unhinged wife Minerva (Sandra Bernhardt), pulling a series of heists to gather several high profile works of Leonardo da Vinci. Mayflower’s goal? To use alchemy to bring the worlds economies to its knees. While the film is action oriented, it lean heavily on puns, slapstick humor, and Bruce Willis‘s natural charisma. A complete box office flop, having made only $17 million on a $65 million budget, Hudson Hawk is still a bit of a diamond in the rough for Willis‘s film catalog. And showcased his natural ability to deliver one line catchphrases, that would be used in some of his better movies later in his career.
