I’ve spent a lot of time arguing on social media this week (and in general). While I still stand by every word I said, I’m grateful to the people who reach out and tell me it helps them in some way, and I’m passionate about the subjects I choose to spend my time debating...It ultimately feels like a big waste of my time and energy. I’ll never stop debating racism, homophobia, misogyny, and general civil rights and equality for all...but I’d much rather inspire through creation and art than petty flame wars for which my words are rarely actually meant for the people I’m debating but for the public at large to help them articulate and relate to the topics at hand. I’m going to pull my focus back on writing and creating the little (hopefully bigger and bigger) simple verses I love to make to uplift and unite. I hope my words speak to you and give you the warm fuzzies inside that they give me in voicing them. I’m also working on some projects to sell that involve my poetry work! I’ll be unveiling them soon! I feel so genuinely excited for the first time in a while. I love you.
