Today is the 15th anniversary of when "Andy and April's Fancy Party" first aired and Andy and April got married!

I think this is my personal favorite episode of Parks and Rec! April and Andy are my all-time favorite fictional couple, so I love seeing them get married! It was also a very unique way for the show to have one of its major couples get married. Usually on TV shows when characters get married on an impulse without planning anything out, it doesn't work out too well. I love that the show ended up subverting this trend. Everyone else thought that this wedding was a bad idea, but April and Andy knew that it was a great idea, and it ended up turning out that they were right. This episode ended up being a fun and unique way to start off a wonderful marriage in a way that felt very true to both April and Andy as characters!

This episode has a lot of very sweet emotional moments. Naturally, there are a lot of great Andy and April moments with their wedding. But there are also some great moments between other characters such as April and Leslie, Leslie and Ron, and Leslie and Ben as well. I think this is an episode that does a great job of showing off many of the amazing bonds between the characters.

In addition to the emotional parts, this is an episode that has a lot of funny humorous moments as well. I think that this is an episode that captures the heart of Parks and Rec really well. It finds that perfect blend between sweet and funny that makes this show so special. And I think this is an episode that really makes that blend shine, which is a big part of why I love this episode so much!
