How I Fell in Love With ENJONINE:
When I first watched the Les Miserables 2012 movie, I immediately was drawn toward these two characters: Eponine and Enjolras. I thought they were amazing characters and didn’t think much of them. They would just be put in my drawer of favorite film characters. It wasn’t until I joined this Les Miserables 2012 movie discussion page. Someone had put a little bit of writing up. So me, being a dork for other people’s writings, I read it. It was a story of Enjolras and Eponine’s interaction before the barricades. It was with this last paragraph that made me feel sympethetic to the idea of Enjonine. “Enjolras never understood why Marius didn't love Eponine, but he was glad that he didn't. He wanted to be the one she kissed in the rain, his hand cupping her soft face as they slowly got soaked with the water droplets. He wanted to be the one she turned to with her problems, so he could embrace her and make it all better. Enjolras promised himself that if he survived the battle at the barricades, he'd tell her. He would tell Eponine about his feelings, maybe even ask her to marry him. But when he saw her dying in the rain, he knew he would never get that chance. Although it never showed, he was now a broken man, and he would die to finish what he started. He hoped he'd die, so he could join the girl o his dreams. When he raised that flag for the last time, no-one saw the small smile tug at the corner of his lips. He was glad to be dying. He would finally be with Eponine.” Soon after, I had my hands on other Enjonine fanfiction works from authors such as Concetta, @decembersiris , @shadows-of-1832, AnneMarie24601, and many more and I just kept falling deeper and deeper with the pair. I have met some amazing Enjonine shipper friends, like @eponinexenjolras and @bisexual-eponine .Now, I have the honor to write down my own Enjonine fanfictions and it just amazes me how far of a journey with these two have I taken. Today would have been 4 years since I was welcomed into the Enjonine family, and I hope to continue showing my #EnjoninePride for more years to come.
