Dear Mr. Prokopetz, my boyfriend is looking for a TTRPG system to do a Kingsman themed one-shot. He is looking for "Creatively practical gadgets, borderline parody comedy, extremely acrobatic and intense combat" Would you have a recommendation? Thank you as always (and feel free to answer this publicly.)
Kingsman-style superspy romps are similar in many respects to martial arts comedies, so you can broaden your choices a bit by including games aimed at that style of play. Beyond that, it depends on how crunchy you want to get.
For a really rules-light approach, Wushu is rarely a bad choice -- you’d just have to relabel a few of the more kung-fu-centric bits of system jargon. Shaken & Stirred is another good option on the super-light end of the spectrum, though it looks like the author’s website is offline at the moment, so you might have to poke around a bit to find a copy.
For something with a bit of heft to it, but still fairly lightweight, The Agency might be the ticket -- though it has supernatural elements baked into it, so you may need to scrub those out for a non-fantastical superspy experience. (Also, there are like four completely different tabletop RPGs called “The Agency”, so make sure you get the right one!)
For something crunch-heavy (well, as heavy as you can get away with in a one-shot, anyway), it may be possible to adapt the Atomic Robo RPG. It’s a bit much to learn on the fly, though -- I’d suggest it for a one-shot only if your group has prior experience with Fate Core or its various derivatives. The Majestic 12 supplement may also be worth looking into, depending on the particulars of your game’s intended tone.
(I’m 80% certain somebody in the notes is going to plug Feng Shui, so I’m going to head that off here: it’s not a bad choice for the premise, but I wouldn’t recommend it for a one-shot, at least not for a group with no prior exposure to the system. The resource economy is quite fiddly, and in my experience it takes most players a couple of sessions to get the hang of it. Definitely one to check out if you ever plan on doing a longer series along those lines, though!)
I cannot be the only one who thinks Yennifer of The Witcher 3 could be Miranda's sister.
I always think this and I barely played Witcher 3!!!
How am I just now noticing the faces of the Evanuris in the Corrupted version of the Vinyl art.
hello! ◕‿◕
they have come to deliver this world... (◡ ‿ ◡ ✿)

The asks are back!
How did you feel about Felassan? I was thinking of you the whole time.
Any idea what the Slaughter of the Pillars could be referring to?
hello! ◕‿◕ (rest of post under cut due to DA:TV spoilers)
@andrastesassets let me know that DA:TV is currently available for pre-order in-store in GameStops (I think this is in US?). she called her local to store to verify this. (it doesn't look like it's available to pre-order from them online, and it's not available to pre-order yet on Steam or the online stores for Xbox and Playstation.) on this Reddit post, the price for it there is listed as $69.99. (note: the 'release' date in that image isn't the release date, it is a placeholder date).
update: pls see here for more info :)
I think you should change your header with one more Blackout box so it just says “There is DA4”
hello! ◕‿◕ hhhh!! me bc there is DA4:

Hello Felassan! I'm wondering if you or the fanbase can help me find a video. It's a short thing that Gareth David Lloyd filmed where he reads the short paragraph from the end of Tevinter Nights?
Thanks in advance!
hello! ◕‿◕ are you looking for this? there is also this one where he is doing lines as the Orlesian 'Bard'.
