i have come out to many different people in many different ways over the past couple years, but i’ll share my favorite time. i was in an uber, coming back from a bar in the middle of the night with two friends and one such friend’s boyfriend. friend #1 already knew (he’s my best friend, so he was one of the first) but friend #2 had no idea. she was sitting on her boyfriend’s lap in the backseat and i was next to them and for some reason we started talking about one tree hill. i start drunkenly talking about brooke davis and i say something like “she’s so pretty...i want to be her friend...or maybe date her a little bit...” and friend #2 goes “...but, she’s a girl” and i said “yes” and she said “OH” and that was that! so, shout out brooke davis for making it so easy
