I know I wrote fic once where Andrew was physically abusive. But honestly it’s important to me that he isn’t. If anything, I think the other Saporians were more physical. Andrew’s abuse is all in his words and the ways he manipulates people and situations. He’s not physical, because he needs to be Varian’s safe space. That’s the only way he can truly control him.

This makes Andrew’s attempt to kill him all the more tragic and heartbreaking.
