Character thingy
Writing exercise thing:
Pick five of your characters, it doesn’t matter if they’re all from the same story or anything, just five characters that you write.
Solarine, Lori, Lhys, Zarayna, Andrisia
1. List them in order of how good their hugs are
Lori, Solarine, Lhys, Andrisia, Zarayna*.
2. Why are the last person’s hugs the worst?
Zarayna's hugs could either be the best or worst, depending on the mental state of both parties involved. The whole semi-psychic emotional amplification thing. If she is upset or unstable and the person hugging her is unprepared for it, it could potentially very negatively affect their own mental stability (temporarily).
3. Why are the first person’s hugs the best
Lori's hugs are the best because she's kinda squishy and warm to the touch (she runs hot), and she is very emphatic about making SURE the hugged person knows how much she appreciates them. Often with bear-hugs.
4. List them in order of how bad their bedhead is
Andrisia, Zarayna, Lori, Solarine, Lhys.
5. For the person with the worst bedhead, how long does it take them to tame it and how much do they care?
Andrisia's hair is very rarely tamed to begin with. Think Hermione Granger (book version) with her wildly curly hair, except bright red instead of brown. Andri doesn't really care.
6. For the person with average bedhead, how long does it take them to tame it and how much do they care?
When her hair is short, Lori just runs a comb through it and makes sure it's straight. When longer, she brushes it thoroughly but usually doesn't do much beyond that.
7. List them in order of who is more of a morning person
Solarine is the only actual morning person, with Lori being the only other who comes close. The rest, in order: Lhys, Andrisia, Zarayna.
8. List them in order of who takes the most coffee/time to wake up in the morning
Zarayna is nocturnal and goes to bed in the morning. The rest: Andrisia, Solarine, Lori, Lhys.
9. Who spends the most time listening to music?
Tie between Solarine and Lori.
10. Who spends the most time pretending not to like pop music?
Probably Lhys there.
11. Who owns the most sweaters?
Lori, and they're all ugly as sin.
12. Who owns the most kitchen appliances?
Solarine, by far. Lori would come in second if she had a kitchen of her own.
13. List them in a random order. Now take person 1 and person 4: What happens if they switch bodies?
Lhys, Solarine, Andrisia, Zarayna, Lori
Lhys and Zarayna...this would be interesting. Rayna would be absolutely THRILLED to have perfect eyesight and be able to go out in the sun without layers of clothing and hats and/or smelly sun lotion. Oh, and without the bright Quel'thalas sunlight making it almost impossible to keep her eyes open through the pain. She'd also probably find it very jarring to be without her mental abilities and runes. Lhys would not handle it well at all, at first, what with having zero idea of how to control Zarayna's abilities. She'd probably sit in a bedroom, rocking back and forth and going slowly insane until the bodies went back to normal. If she MANAGED to get up and take a look at herself, she would be shocked at being so strange-looking, and would likely do some research to find out exactly what the runes on her arms were for.
14. List them in alphabetical order. Now take person 3 and person 5: What happens if they have to pretend to be married?
Aeloren (Lori), Alhyste (Lhys), Andrisia, Solarine, Zarayna.
Andrisia and Zarayna would probably get along quite well as friends, and might actually end up marrying for real.
OR
Andrisia, Lhys, Lori, Solarine, Zarayna.
Lori and Zarayna would not end well, mostly because Lori would not be able to handle Zarayna's mind magics very well. Also because of the shenanigans going on in Lori's personal life, which she's very intent on at the moment and would be very upset if something completely ruined it.
15. List them in order of most desire to pursue a college education to least.
Andrisia, Zarayna, Solarine, Lori, Lhys. That being said, they all *have* the equivalent of a college education and were decent students. For post-grad work, this would probably be the order, at least academically speaking.
16. Give your characters one wish each. What do they wish for?
Andrisia - Would wish for a long and successful run for the Dalna'ras Academy.
Zarayna - Would wish for herself and Thandria to be able to go out in the sun without having to worry about sunburn and skin cancer.
Solarine - To have her family back.
Lori - To have a family of her own.
Lhys - Would wish for the freedom to live life on her own terms without having to worry about money.
17. Your characters can save one person from anything that is happening or has happened to them. Who do they save?
Andrisia - Would save Vestiel.
Lhys - Would save herself from herself.
Lori - Would save Vidaar's first wife.
Solarine - Would save Talaen from his old injuries.
Zarayna - Would save her mother.
18. List your characters from most cooking skill to least.
Solarine, Lori, Zarayna = Lhys, Andrisia.
19. List your characters from most likely to shave a friend’s head as a prank to least.
I don't think any of them would actually consider doing that, though Lori and Solarine might go along with putting a spell on someone to temporarily make it appear that they'd gone bald.
20. List your characters from most likely to accidentally throw something when scared during a movie to least.
Zarayna, Lhys, Lori, Solarine, Andrisia.
