Maybe an unpopular opinions, I don't care, but I really hate how I can't search ANYTHING about hazbin hotel without reading way too much fucking whiny about what tweet Viv liked or what she said five years ago or some unrelated fucking shit I can't care less even if I tried. You want to hate her, be my fucking guest, but I didn't fucking ask for that. I don't even mean it as a stan or anything. I just want to see cool fanart, theories and reviews from fans ABOUT THE SHOW. I DON'T CARE WHAT BONE YOU HAVE TO PICK WITH THE CREATOR. LET PEOPLE JUST TALK ABOUT THE SHOW.

There is this current tendency in fandom where people call slop literally any part of the fandom they aren't invested in. Yaoi slop, yuri slop, theory slop, whatever. Like, first of all, we all agree that slop as a whole has lost all meaning, right? The only thing that should be a fitting for that word is souless garbage with no real passion, and yet I see fuckers calling fanfiction, fantheory and fanart that. Things that people do because they want to, because they have fun, because they enjoy it. Like, DUDE. You know can just... not watch the thing you aren't interested in, right?? You don't have to use any term at all to try to make less out of anyone engaging in a harmless ass hobby that has zero effect in your life. You can just ignore it. Fandom is a big ass place, buddy. If you don't want to even see Spamtenna, lore theories or whatever the absolute fuck, guess what? You don't have to. There is literally nothing at all stopping you from just having your own little corner in fandom and mind your own fucking ass business. Seriously, you all calling other people's stuff slop just because you don't like it are boring as all fuck. Like, who the fuck do you think you are to dismiss the care, passion and love people pour into something just because YOU don't like it?? Don't think I didn't notice you all do this bullshit with what happens to be a popular thing, because god fucking forbid you all develop a fucking personality outside of "I dislike popular thing, therefore I am unique and especial." Get a fucking grip already. Literally no one has to cater to your pretentious ass. Make your own bullshit if you are so concerned with "uwuw the way this fandom is headed uwuwu" and shut the fuck up.

So this comment? This comment right here? It's actually terrible and let me explain to you how:

1. I can add literally anything I want in any fic I want ever for any reason that makes sense to me or for no other reason that it amuses me. I am literal God when it comes to my writing and I can do that and literally so much worse. You literally can't stop me from doing so. If I write it, I can do as I please.

2. The fic is tagged properly. The literal summary of the story says Lucifer adopts Alastor and puts him on a tower, all the while having the main ship being appleradio. If you still read my story and was somehow shocked that it literally does what it says in the summary, that is entirely on you, my guy. I didn't force you to do jack shit. You wanted to come read filth, receive filth. You don't get to be judgy when you literally invited yourself in after paying the entry ticket yourself with your click.

3. You have some shit literary critical skills if you really think the story would have been the same without that element. I know you are shit at reading already (I mean, obviously, that is why you keep getting surprised by stuff with warnings all over), but that has to be you being dishonest or something. The thing about adding that element is the tragedy of the situation and how Lucifer, despite his disaproval of sinners, still falls enough to "take advantage" of his own son. How twisted and fucked is that he mixes his version of what fatherly duties are with simply giving in to temptation, how he convinces himself that is okay as long Alastor is the one asking for it. It's gross and that is the bloody fucking point. And what the fuck do you mean with "it would have been a good story without it", because that parental role is literally the entire justification for why Lucifer takes Alastor to the tower and the entire reason why Alastor listen to him at all. Alastor would have never accepted stay in a tower, in Hell, if it isn't because someone he knows and trust tells him is the best for him. Someone like his own father, someone he already loves and is willing to listen to. Without Alastor thinking that, not only it loses any of the conflict for Lucifer, it makes the whole story fall apart entirely. If you want to read another story, just go read another story. Don't make it my fucking problem that mine wasn't.

Exactly what I needed after being attacked by a fucking dog, trying to protect my own from being mauled, and having a panic attack in the sideway... being rejected for the third time from a creative project in fandom, with the exact same fucking words that they used the other two times. Because why even bother writing something new when they already found their formula to tell you "yeah, no, fuck off :)" Why the fuck would you ever use any kind of effort. Kick me while I am down, why don't you. I don't even want to hear anyone saying "oh, but you can try again next year!" or some bullshit like that. It's not like they even tell you why they reject you, so there is nothing for you to do about it. There are better writers than you, hurr-fucking-ray, and they will always be, so why the fuck would you fucking try.

First, fuck canon, who the actual fuck cares. Second, WHY DO I KEEP SEEING THIS KIND OF BULLSHIT ON THE RADIOAPPLE TAG? WHY DO YOU THINK ANYONE WANTS TO HEAR YOUR SHITTY TAKES ABOUT HOW YOU THINK THIS SHIP "SHOULD" BE OR HOW IT WOULD "WORK" IN CANON?

I don't know what fandom newbie needs to hear this, but if you write to an author of a fanfic you have enjoyed, especially one of multiple chapters, only to complain about typos or how "it could be improved"? An author you have never talked to before and have literally no relationship to? An author that didn't asked you for any help and didn't even gave the slightest hint they were looking for it? I just want you to know you are a dick. An entitled dick with no manners. You need to be aware that a big portion of the fandom does not like and will never like you. You have to know that you are what makes the fandom experience less fun for everyone else. Because this is the thing you seem to be missing: fanfics are not written for you, with you in mind or with the expectation that you will like it. They are shared with you and you are free to look away if you aren't enjoying yourself, but that is no issue for the author to be solving. The author doesn't owe you shit. You are not holding fanfiction to a higher standard. You are not showing your love by "wanting to make it better". You are not just "trying to help." You were given something for free, that demanded nothing of you, from a complete stranger, and your answer was to get your grubby hands on it. There are authors who are desperate to get a beta. Get them. Go to them. Don't go being an annoying fuck to the rest.

I really dislike videos of "trying (craft I am already into) for the first time" because the people making them VERY RARELY ever bother to actually see videos on how to do the craft in the first place. They just do whatever bullshit they want at the moment and then complain the whole time when they don't get immediate good results. Like, I understand it's just content and they probably are never going to pick up those craft tools ever again, and I am sure there is an appeal into seeing a person fumble in real time to try to get something right, or ragequitting when they can't make it work, but... there are literally hundreds of online free resources to make all craft imaginable. So many people spend hours, days, years, making those resources. Sometimes those craft require an actual skill that takes more that one afternoon to develop or are MEANT to be done during a long period of time. They don't even tell you anything about the craft itself. You are not supposed to learn anything from that video, you are supposed to just endure asinine "why isn't this working" comments of someone who did nothing in preparation and is shocked the stuff is not magically doing itself.

I fucking hate it when the fandom makes up bullshit ass norms and expectations they literally never have towards canon. Like, they all clap along and are so happy to celebrate stuff when it's "official", but god fucking forbid that any fan wants to do the same thing or similar on their own fanwork. We can't allow that, we have to keep standards... while promoting a piece of work that does not give a single fuck about said standards in the first place.
