I made a game about ramen bc everybody loves ramen OF COURSE YOU DO

SO, I am super excited to announce that my first and only solo developed game Ramen Rush is finally published and available to play for free on the Google Play Store!

I started learning game dev in July from scratch and began working on this title in Dec and it's been WILD.

A Microsoft Surface Duo egyszer már felfedte magát a nagyközönség előtt a tavaly őszi Surface hardverek mellett amolyan előzetesként, de a redmondi gyártó akkor még az idei ünnepi időszakra datálta megjelenését. Úgy tűnik, némi kapkodás azért belefért a dologba és a könyvként kinyitható, két kijelzős Android mobil már szeptembertől megvásárolható lesz – igaz, egyelőre csak az Egyesült Államokban.

A 250 grammos, összecsukott állapotban 145,2 x 93,3 x 9x9 mm-es két, 5,6 colos kijelzőt rejt magában, melyeket akár 360 fokos szögben is ki lehet hajtani, de 180 fokban kinyitva 186,9 mm széles és 4,8 mm vastagságú alkalmi tablet összesen 8,3 colos munkafelületet (8,1 col kijelző + a köztes zsanér) kínál Full HD felbontású, 4:3-as arányú OLED kijelzőjével.

A belsőségeket tekintve kicsit túlzónak tűnhet az 1400 dolláros árcimke: Qualcomm Snapdragon 855-ös központi egysége már bőven nem a legfrissebb chipset, a 6 gigabájt rendszermemória lassan a középkategóriában is teljesen átlagos, ahogy a 128-as és 256 gigabájtos háttértár sem a szabad tárhelyre vágyók Kánaánja. 5G-re ennél fogva nem is számíthatunk, de az NFC kihagyása már kissé arcpirító. Cserébe van például Surface Pen támogatás mindkét kijelzőn, illetve egy 3500 mAh-ás akkumulátor, amit maximum 18 wattal tudunk gyorstölteni – mindkét adat nagyjából a 2017-es átlag felső kategóriának megfelelő.

A multimédia a specifikációs listát nézve szintén nem a Surface Duo erőssége, egyetlen előlapi kamerája szolgál fő kameraként is, ami még a 11 megapixeles felbontás és f/2.0-ás numerikus apertúra ellenére is is bizalomra szolgálhatna - tekintve hogy a Google saját okostelefonjaival évekig fricskát mutatott a piacnak, hála a Pixel mobilok egyetlen kameráját támogató remek szoftveres háttérnek - nem úgy azonban a sztereó hangszórópár hiánya, ami a termetes keretbe sem fért bele és ma már egy középkategóriás készüléktől sem extrém elvárás. Az audio képességek terén egyébként az 5.0 aptx támgoatásos Bluetooth chipre vagy a 3.1-es USB Type-C csatlakozóra hagyatkozhatunk még, mivel a jack csatlakozó erről az eszközről is lemaradt.

A Surfcace Duo mától előrendelhető az Egyesült Államokban 1399 dolláros kezdőáron, szeptember 10-től pedig a boltok polcaira is felkerül. A nemzetközi forgalmazásról még nincs hír, de tekintve, hogy a Surface család többi tagja sem túl gyakran képviselteti magát hazánkban, szolgáltatói kínálatban igen kevés eséllyel fog megjelenni.

Android 11 finally adds wireless ADB for developers 📱

Google appears to finally add wireless ADB (Android Debug Bridge) to its mobile platform in the next release of android version (11), a feature highly-requested by developers.

ADB allows developers to communicate between the PC and the Android device. Once connected, it’s used for sideloading APKs, generating logs, managing files, and much more. Currently, ADB requires a wired connection.

With more PCs removing USB ports – particularly laptops, in the pursuit of ever-slimmer devices – the need for developers to use a wireless connection for ADB is becoming a necessity.

XDA-Developers spotted AOSP commits which indicate upcoming wireless ADB functionality. The commits suggest a “wireless debugging” switch must be toggled in the device’s settings to activate this feature.

After the feature is activated, a wireless connection can be established with a PC by scanning a QR code or by entering a six-digit code.

While there are many o ways to replicate wireless ADB functionality today, these are unpredictable and potentially hazardous.
