Short Circuit ✦ Hennessy & Devon
@android-devon
Hennessy followed behind two students he’d wrangled into helping him fetch some pails of sea water from some close by tide pools. He’d wanted them for various projects and possibly experiments for his students to run once the break ended but that did not mean he wasn’t above doing a few trial runs himself. The small band walked the corridors that were crowded with students and faculty coming and going, all concerned with their own business and that was when one of the clumsy students struggled with the grip on the metal pail he carried. The male fumbled, attempting to hold onto the slippery handle, he was failing and furthermore he did not pay attention to his footing in the slightest, that was when he took a stumble sending the pail flinging wildly upwards. The vessel of salty, sea water rocketed skyward as the male fell back slipping on some unseen barrier set in his path. Water glistened in the light fanning out in flowing arches, droplets formed into huge splashes flying through the air aiming for an unsuspecting target.
H e r.
dammit.
Think fast Hennessy!
The shook washed over his face as an innocent was about to be christened by the brine of the sea and a clumsy dipshit. Not on his watch! His hand shot upwards, fingers spread calling on his element of choice halting the Water dead in its tracks as if it had hit a solid wall and simply dribbled downwards in gushes to the ground, not even a mist escaped the British Professors call. He stepped forward thwacking his hand over the top of the students head in a sharp reprimand. “That is no way to treat a lady!” He barked before his features softened just a tad and his attention turned to the young women.
“Are you alright my dear?”
