Fascinating Creations || Elias & Devon
Word tends to move fast around The Institute, especially between the faculty and staff. Of course, there wasn't many things that caught Elias' attention, but someone had mentioned that there was an android student and he immediately began to seek the student out. He felt that the human race as a whole was just lacking, however, their technological advancements were always fascinating, especially with how fast they seemed to be creating new technologies. However, an android and one that functioned to pass the turing test? He thought it very unlikely, that maybe a human didn't create the android. It seemed too good to be true in all honesty.
Yet, he managed to find the android student and began to study their habits from afar. Devon seemed to function normally, easily blending in with her surroundings. Nothing about her was up front about being anything remotely mechanical. Who ever made her had done a very good job. Her speech patterns and mannerisms were also very human, nothing like what the virtual assistants were like on smart phones. Truely fascinating!
Eventlually, Elias gathered the courage to approach Devon. More could be learned about her if he held a conversation. Maybe she would be ok with this, he sure hope so, but he would respect her desicion if she happened to decline. He had approached her in the hallway in between classes, hoping that it was a decent time to talk to her.
"Mrs. Templeton..." He calls out, briskly walking around students and staff to reach her, "...Mrs Templeton, I hope this isn't a bad time to talk, but I'm Dr. Bernhardt-Schafer. I teach forensic science here, though I was wondering if it was possible for me to ask you a few questions if you happened to be free. This is nothing serious and doesn't pertain to your studies, just a professional curiosity that I have about you."
