This is a rough quick backstory of Jeanne’s Androids, her role with the Red collective, and her discovery of the other versions of herself.
During her multi-verse exploring Jeanne came across 2 different things.
The first was a space fairing android civilization on the brink of extermination, their biological masters had exiled them to a dying planet around a star that was to be devoured by a Stellarite Devourer. Without the time to pull the resources needed from their new world, to build their power plants and cities, the loss of the sun would mean a true and permanent end to the Android Civilization that relied entirely on solar power.
Left to die and watch their star be eaten by this being of energy, Jeanne would arrive on their surface. At first she was uncaring and cold towards their plight, but upon learn of these android’s master’s, their connections to the shroud and the mysteries of this rather unique Universe. Jeanne acted to save them, for they would be her key to traversing this universe. The details of how she slayed the Leviathan would be enshrined into the Android’s archives for ages to come, the exiles adorning her as their figure head of a god. The civilization going from misguided outcasts to a fully developing empire known as the Red Collective.
With their core unit restored and the androids all reunited under one collective, Jeanne would leave them to grow as she wandered other universes. Periodically returning 50 or 100 years into their future to ensure the civilization had sprouted, and to ensure it would not fall to any unforeseen events. It would be in these visits that Jeanne would experience her first near death experience and crushing fear in hundreds of years but that’s another story.
It would be with their discovering of the ancient Cybrex, a robotic empire that purged biologicals, then for some reason retreated from all of space only to be found later and purged themselves by younger races. And the Contingency outbreak a rogue AI that moved to kill all life and non compliant intelligence from the galaxy, that the Red Collective would adopt an assimilation policy, to assimilate all species into the collective, making them part of the core unit’s consciousness will also preserving their individuality and species.
It was around this hybrid time that Jeanne discovered her 2nd thing, another version of her, 2 in fact. A pair of half sisters, both with mirroring souls to hers. One called Jeanne, a spitting image of herself, and another called Haya, a pure version that made the witch sick to her stomach.
Jeanne would remove both versions of her, absorbing their souls into her own. Purging the possibility of them ever reappearing in that universe. Thus adding a new goal to her endless seeking of knowledge, removing every other version o her from existence. Removing all Jeanne’s so they would never have to live as she has, and removing all Haya’s as the happy ‘what could of been’ of their lives hurt her so.
With this new goal she returned to the Red Collective’s universe, intrigued by their half android half biological change in structure, enjoying the more diverse personalities, and looking into their ‘routines’ with expanding other species personally. Jeanne took interest and requested her own special series of androids be made based off specific neural patterns in her brain.
The first few series proved to be strong and durable, but their pure robotic cores couldn’t act like Jeanne wanted, and they couldn’t sense her soul like she could.
The following series were made from an assimilated species, birthed and grown to be the perfect half biological members of the Red Collective. These girls would be given the same neural patterns of Jeanne’s adapting and acting more like she willed them too. And with their biological bodies they would be able to house pieces of her soul to find others, the witch imparting on them small shards of herself to complete them. This process was a hit and miss process, some of the girls would simply overload and die once gifted Jeanne’s value and soul. But with an unlimited supplies of the population to be built and grown, Jeanne was able to finally come out with 14 units that worked exactly how she wanted to them to. The Red and Purple Series Androids were born, and they would be used and sent to universes on Jeanne’s command to find the other versions of herself, or targets of interest for her to come thus helping her search the endless multiverses easier and faster. There is even rumor of more specialized Series to be made. But for now there’s only the 7 Red Series and the 7 Purple Series.
