“Bartender Hollie in the house!” She cheered, clapping her hands against the counter top loudly for attention. She peered over at the many house guests surrounding it and nodded towards a dark haired girl. “What can I make ya, babes?”

The lock of the door clinked open. From his right hand, Ted held a tight grasp to his suitcase, while his left hand had used a key to open the door. Surely, he could’ve just used an unlocking charm, but he had done so mindlessly that by the time he noticed, it was too late. There were still some muggle habits to his routine that lagged around, especially after spending two weeks with his parents. Ted stepped in through the main door and called out energetically, “Hello, I’m home.”  

Once he had stepped in and closed the door behind him, Ted took a glance at the mirror by the door. Shit. His hair looked like a wild mess. Maybe it had been years since they’ve been together, and he was unlike other men for caring so much, but still, Ted always became self-conscious of how he looked for his wife. He shuffled through his hair, trying to fix his part, as he called out again to see if she was around. “Meda?”

Saying goodbye to Druella had been a q u i e t affair. For one, they had never been the most affectionate of spouses. There was love between them, yes, but they had never been the most physical. If that weren’t enough, he had left the Manor with her upset at him. She had wanted to accompany him on his visit to check in on their children, but he had insisted that she stay at home. He needed to be alone for this. The girls would be distracted with their mother present, and he wanted their full undivided attention. 

Cygnus was pondering over these things and more, as he stepped into Hogwarts. He glanced around at the stone walls, a hint of disdain in his eyes. This look became even more prominent when remembered that he had a visit planned to visit Dumbledore. He held quite the grudge against the Headmaster, and didn’t very much like to be in his presence. Unfortunately, it was a part of his duty to pay him a visit. He began to focus on the scene around him, while closing the door. To his surprise, Andromeda was just across the hall. His eyebrows raised slightly at the sight of her exiting the Great Hall. He shut the great large doors sharply, loud enough to get the attention of most people around them. 

“Andromeda.” He said sharply, settling his eyes on her from across the corridor.

A Fresh Start | Andromeda

Very early in the week, Hestia realized something terrible: she had neglected her studies for several days. The moment came when she opened her planner Tuesday morning and realized that she hadn't even looked at the prompt for the Transfiguration due that very week. It put her in such a panic that she wasn't even able to concentrate on her classes for the entirety of the day. Finally, after dinner, Hestia was able to sneak off to the library. She rushed through the doors, past shelves of unorganized volumes and dictionaries, until she reached her favorite table in the back corner of the library. The trouble was that it was already preoccupied.

Hestia recognized Andromeda as soon as she rounded the corner. The shock of seeing her only pushed her already frenzied mind further into panic. She immediately thought of Ted. Hestia cleared her throat and smiled. Normally, she would retreat, but now that she was aware of Ted's feelings, she felt drawn towards the girl. Perhaps, with some time, she would be able to see just what it was that Ted saw, what it was that made her so special to him. She approached the table, still smiling, and said, "Hello, Andromeda. My name's Hestia. Do you mind if I join you?"
