If you come from the South like I did, you don’t even learn who won the Civil War. So yeah, I’d never heard about Stonewall as a closeted gay kid until well after high school. And college. Tumblr is great for stuff like this.

Same here (I’m in the southwest). And the stealing of land from Mexico was phrased as “the general was nice enough to only take what he did, because he could have taken more land, but he stopped there”

Ooh, good luck. I had my share of awkward/weird-ass experiences online dating, gave up on it, and then not more than a month later, my current bf of 2 years messaged me. You never know. Hope you have fun!

Thanks for the encouragement! I don’t *seem* to be talking to any weirdos at the moment, but we’ll find out! And I’m glad to hear your experience went well! Even though I probably won’t find a boyfriend, I do think I should work at being slightly more social!

Hey! Saw your regionals video via the #figureskating tag and just wanted to say great job. Smooth edges, and fast, confident jumps. I didn't realize you were from MN until I clicked through to send you a message. I'm from MN myself (although I live in CA now). My last club affiliation before moving away was Braemar out in Edina. Thank you! It’s good to know that I connected with the audience with this program because that’s something we were trying to focus on! And that’s so weird that we’re both from Minnesota! I guess the skating world is much smaller than I thought!

What every doctor/therapist/surgeon has told me is they're far more concerned with the people who HAVEN'T had these thoughts than those who had, because they're afraid they haven't had enough time to evaluate their decision in full.

that is what wld make more sense to me.
