Uhhh not really? Though if you're asking because of the whole "Damon was gonna have an unrequited crush on Diana after Kai's death" that came out...

I'm mostly confused? Like, I won't knock the ship itself, I'm just confused about what was possibly happening with Damon's character after Kai's death that having a crush on Diana was even on the table?

What does that do to serve the plot or his character development? Is it to show us:

A. Damon rebounds quickly.

B. Eh, he liked Kai but I guess it wasn't that deep.

C. Damon's such a mess after Kai dies that fuck it, he's gonna crush on the next person he sees and Diana's the poor soul who happened to walk by.

D. Sozzay was real upsetti spaghetti about people shipping diaeva/saying Diana's a lesbian that she went "Oh yeah motherfuckers???? What if unrequited diamon, huh???"

E. Uhhhhhhhhhhhh.... I dunno, Mark also got rejected by Jett, were they doing something there with rejected crushes? Probably not.

Also, like... are we not allowed to learn anything about Diana that doesn't revolve around Damon or Wolfgang? Why couldn't info about her friendship with Grace drop, or the toll the murders and trials took on her? Literally anything else about her?

I guess to answer your question fully: I don't ship diamon, it's not my thing. Platonically? Hell yeah. But, I'm a kaimon and diaeva lover, y'know?

After reading about the new info on Damon’s character….

Bro.. what the hell… he is the writers’ goddamn punching bag frr.. they hate him so much.

Look I know they were just ideas that could’ve been scrapped, but why’d they gotta do him so dirty like that??

His overall character arc feels like character derailment in my opinion.

I think the writers forgot what their own game is even about… Might as well rename it to Project Eden’s dating sim cause it doesn’t feel like the same one at all.

it would still leave a bad taste in my mouth, but I would be more """"okay"""" with the unrequited crush if it weren't for the fact that, of the very little stuff we currently know about Diana, the only stuff that links her to Damon post-Ch1 are:

Damon got catty with her after she started rooming with Kai

she defended Jean (the guy that tried to kill Damon)

covered Damon's eyes during Toshiko's execution

i guess we can count whatever the rest of Diana's FTEs would've been (though not really since it's missable content if you don't do them)

and that's everything i can think of??????????????????

like, there is more ammo from Ch1, but you'd expect there to be more if Damon was supposed to bond enough with Diana to A) get a crush, and B) confess??? while dealing with everything regarding the traitor perk and his dead situationship?? thank god she turned it down. i'm choosing to believe they would've cut the whole crush thing out when they got to that point for my own sanity
