I've had such an amazing experience meeting with andthisistherestofus. We've had amazing conversations, on and off camera. I wish we could've talked for hours more! Thank you for listening, thank you for doing this. Can't wait to see myself (with my horrible French accent) and everyone else in this incredible documentary!
Registrations
Hi all,
An update on the registration situation.
If you've received an email from us asking for your confirmation of involvement, please get that back to us ASAP. We're trying to plan how much time we can spend in each city, how we're going to interview as many people as possible, and whether or not we need to find more registrations in the cities we're going to.
We'd really appreciate knowing that we can speak to a bunch of fans in Brussels before we spend a whole lot of our budget trying to get there.
Thanks everyone!
If you haven't registered and you'd like to help out, you can let us know here.
-Tim and Nat :)
I'm under 18. My dad signed the form thing but my mom will probably be the one taking me in to the interview. We all live together so she also said it was okay, but does my dad have to come with me. Also, are you guys going to be replying to confirmation emails to plan location and stuff like that?
Hi there,
It's really important that the person who signs the participation agreement as your parent or guardian is also the person who accompanies you to the filming. The reason for this is that we may get footage of your parent or guardian in the background, or as we're filming you, and if they haven't signed the release form then any incidental footage they're in (and talking in or anything like that) we won't be able to use. That means if your Mum is standing in the background during your interview, and we don't realise till later, we have the scrap your entire interview.
It's much easier if the person who signs your participation agreement is also the person who will accompany you on the day.
To your other question: YES!
We're still working through everyone who has registered, and it's going to take us a little bit of time to organise all the things we have to organise, but we will definitely be replying to confirmation emails with more information as soon as we can.
Thanks for your patience everyone!
-Tim :)
We were asked a question a little while ago, and we thought we would take the opportunity when we were both together to answer it!
Happy Sunday,
-Tim and Nat :)
i did it. i got over myself and registered for the documentary.
We need to ask a favour:
There are a couple of huge announcements coming out over the next few days and weeks in the lead up to our trip overseas to make this incredible project. We're SO excited that we get to take this journey with you all, but we still DESPERATELY need your support.
Because we've been losing followers (which I think is due to a reduced interest after all the excitement of the campaigns) we're not reaching as many people as we believe need to know about this documentary.
This is THE opportunity to stand up and say "I will not be marginalised by a women-hating, youth-disparaging, and understanding-phobic media! I have a voice, and I will use it!".
We believe this documentary can be a powerful vehicle for changing the narrative which surrounds this fandom, but it CANNOT be that vehicle if we don't have your support.
So please, if you don't mind, share this video around. The more people who hear about this documentary, the better represented this fandom will be.
In two weeks time, I will have been working on this project almost full time for EIGHT MONTHS, and for some crazy reason, I STILL believe in The Rest of Us.
We hope you do too.
-Tim and Nat :)
ps. Stay tuned for a whole suite of announcements, including an excerpt from our very first interview!
It's SUMDAY: Which means a summary of my week.
I talk about YouTube, the documentary, and my Comedy Festival Show!
Enjoy!
