On the table in an elven ranger’s treehouse lies a messy piece of parchment. Maybe words to an unfinished ballad, or the beginnings of a daring fable, or a letter to a cherished friend. But regardless it bears the marks and doodles of many loving hands and the ink smudges that show fondness and a persistence to find the right words to share a meaningful message...

This is my entry into the Tavern Talk Art Competition! I created this account specifically to post this - I don't usually post online but I really wanted to show my appreciation for this amazing game and the incredible people who created it! So I created this acrostic poem!

I love Tavern Talk game so much and highly recommend for anyone who enjoys cosy, story based video games with very loveable characters. I wanted to say a hug thank you to everyone who worked on this game and put so much time and energy into creating such a wonderful and heartfelt experience!

The Wayfarer’s Inn stands atop a hill overlooking Zenyth – a cosy beacon attracting adventurers like a single star in a vacant night sky guiding you home.

All are welcome here, beckoned by kind eyes that shine with mystery and warmth, and ensure a bit of entropy.

Venture inside, if it is open, to find a place that smells faintly of salty ocean air and fresh ingredients from far off places – that speaks of many whispers and echoes of past adventures held in trinkets and trophies and sentimental scratch marks – that always seems to look and feel the same as you remember.

Every innkeeper, traveller or draconic familiar in this inn speaks in the voice of our universe’s song to tell fate’s story – you have worth and importance beyond your wildest imaginations.

Reflecting upon and listening to all the musings and tales spoken here reveals the truth of wisdom’s origin – it is sewn into the corners of the lives and lessons of all of us: We all have much to teach each other.

Never will you be ostracised or alienated no matter how different you feel, as within these walls lies the beauty of being known, accepted and loved – of feeling seen in the stories of the heroes and regulars who find comfort here, and a reprieve from life’s stresses.

Though the wings of night may tear, the serpent’s domain may overflow, and the ones who endlessly slumber may stir, your cup will always be full and you will never have to find courage alone.

A place to run towards replaces a past to run from – a place as warm as  a hot chocolate hug.

Life is a never-ending chain of adventures that guarantees change as surely as the endless dawning of the moons, so come inside and face the awe and fear because as certain as change heralds mourning, it promises celebration too.

Keep your name, but pull up a stool – accept fate’s cup with an open heart and you will find company in new and dear friends, and quests beyond your wildest dreams.

Soooo... This is my version of Innkeep - MC from Tavern Talk. Very loosely inspired by canon look from upcoming Tavern Talk Stories: Dreamwalker, but "loosely" is a key word, guess (and my normal art-style is different, lol).
