Thunderbolts!Bucky x Dreamwalker!Reader • Canon • A 1000-Follower Event!

Bucky Barnes isn't doing well after the Void incident, and he doesn't want help. You have been tasked with repairing a man who doesn’t believe he can be fixed. By day, it's silence, resentment, and anger. But when night falls, you two have to battle his nightmares. Together, or not at all. 

This is a Dreamwalker!Reader insert fic. I will be posting twice a day, at 8am and 8pm EST.

Trigger Warnings: ANGST (with a happy ending); Reader Insert Series ("you"); void-level Bucky trauma (being the winter soldier, the chair, Steve, the people he's killed); Reader goes through some shit (like the chair). I'm honestly not yet sure if there will be smut in this. And if there is, I'm not sure if it will be in the Day or the Night portion.

Author's Note: I had this idea back in September and thought, what an interesting idea, to have a night and day dichotomy, post it in real time, twice a day. Wouldn't that be a great idea for an event?! Well, I didn't think about how much work it would be. And it is. But I think it's worth it. Let's see if we can heal our favorite super soldier, shall we?

Wait, hold up! Why am I feeling sentimental that Violet's lightning and dreamwalking signets reminded me of Lilith and Asher Sorrengail? 🥺

Stay with me.

No matter how she felt estranged with Lilith, she's comfortable and familiar enough with the byproduct of her mom's storm signet that Violet shaped her raw power into lightning.

Then we have her dreamwalking signet. No matter how lethal it is to use as a weapon of war, she manifested it out of her desperation and thirst for knowledge—like Asher was when his research touch upon feathertails and a weapon to end the war (you know what's funny? His research may or may not describe Andarna's role to the war)

Violet really has a mind of a scribe (daughter of Asher Sorrengail + her dreamwalking signet) and a heart of a rider (daughter of Lilith Sorrengail + her lightning signet)

I jumped a head of myself. I made their two youngest and now I made their two oldest.

SURPRISE THEY HAVE IDENTICAL TWINS. Cause yk Jake and Tommy, and genetics say having twins pass on from mom to daughter haha.

Also some cute moments between the pair. I may or may not color this idk yet.
