Thursday, July 18th we photographed the Great South Bay Music Festival in Patchogue, Long Island, NY. The festival, now in its thirteenth year, runs over four days and features artists from a variety of music genres.
Despite the forecast calling for rain, the crowds were packed for the first day of the festival. We caught sets from Frank Iero and the Future Violents, The Menzingers, and Long Island locals A Farewell Fire, Glassjaw and Taking Back Sunday.

Friday, August 3rd House of Vans Brooklyn threw their fifth House Party show of the summer with headliners Against Me!. The event featured plenty of free beer, a photo booth, an installation by Steak Mtn. (aka artist Christopher Norris), and lots of great music.
Locals Taking Meds got the show started. Their new record, My Moon is Always Full, came out this spring. They were followed by Los Angeles’ band Cherry Glazerr. The group’s latest album, Apocalipstick, was released in early 2017 on Secretly Canadian.
Gainesville, Florida’s Against Me! put out their debut album, Reinventing Axl Rose, over fifteen years ago. Six more albums later, the band is still going strong -- putting on high energy live shows and attracting fans around the world. Their set in Brooklyn last week included highlights from all seven records, giving fans a little bit of everything from the band’s discography.
Against Me! has a few U.S. dates planned before they head to Mexico and South America this fall. More info on shows and ticket information can be found here.

Thursday, December 28th we photographed Thursday, Pup and Frank Iero and the Patience at The Paramount in Huntington, NY.
Fans arrived early to check out New Jersey’s Frank Iero and the Patience. Fronted by former My Chemical Romance guitarist Frank Iero, the band plays fast-paced, melodic punk. Their latest EP, Keep The Coffins Coming, was released this past September.
Up next were Toronto’s Pup, who always put on a fun set. The band’s most recent release was The Dream Is Over, which came out last year.
Thursday hit the stage and opened up with Cross Out The Eyes and A Hole In The World, both off 2001′s Full Collapse, the band’s breakthrough record. They were full of energy throughout the set, playing a mixture of songs spanning their nearly twenty-year career.
The tour wraps up tonight with a show in Sayreville, NJ at Starland Ballroom.
