Andy, do you really think you can help your sister now when you couldn't help her during Ben's onslaught?
The question brought out a range of emotions but the strongest were anger and sadness. He hadn’t been able to save Addison before, and now she was lost in a hell he knew only Astrid came close to understanding. There were times when he looked at Addison and could see fear, she still was dealing with Ben and what he did, despite the man’s death. Sighing he narrows his eyes. “Ben is dead, so that gives her a better chance, plus everything is out in the open. We can help her better because of that. I would have been there had they let me, but I understand the power of Ben Rollins, that’s the thing though, he’s dead.”

For better of worse
Isaiah sat reading through the paperwork from the courts. Everyone was in shock that Addison had been detained, as it were for Ben Rollins death. The scene clearly looked like an accident but poor Addison was there and couldn't say one way or another what happened. She was shaking and mumbling, babbling really when the cops arrived. No one is even sure who called the cops, to begin with. All anyone knew was the police and the courts felt Addison was a threat to herself and possibly others. It hadn't helped that no one, including Andy, was even remotely upset about Ben dying. Isaiah knew all the reasons his husband hated the man, but Isaiah stood there quietly holding Andy's hand while they identified the body with his in-laws, Alex and Astrid. Addison had already been taken into custody for questioning.
There was no surprise when every sibling shouted they'd killed Ben Rollins. Astrid shouted she'd stabbed him and the detective just rolled his eyes. Andy spoke up saying he'd done it, but they also saw no plausibility with the method. Alex said he'd broken the man's neck, which raised a brow but the coroner came back and said it was an accident. They'd demanded Addison's release but her behavior since finding the old man's body was so erratic there was nothing anyone could do. She was deemed a threat to herself and sent to Bedford.
Watching his husband struggle with that decision was painful. Andy and the rest of his siblings had been put through enough by that man. Isaiah wanted to comfort Andy but he knew the man well enough to give him some space to think. The girls were playing quietly in the other room so Isaiah took the time to see if there was any way they could get Addison out or even moved. This really wasn't his area of expertise but his heart hurt for the girl. She was family. Getting a lawyer may be the only thing they could do. Scratching his head, Isaiah finally walked over and wrapped his arms over Andy's shoulders. "Penny for your thoughts?"

For Andy Rollins
Happy birthday, baby. 40 never looked so good. Having you back is the best but it's your birthday, not mine. I love you with all my heart.
