hot take: i know it wasn't the best in terms of execution, but i think across the void really did have the potential to be a good series if pb had just let the plot marinate a little more. like i know people were complaining about it being a longer book during its release, but if they paced the story throughout multiple books and took the time to develop everything on a deeper level instead of smushing everything into one, i really do think the setting and the story could've been something great

#atv absolutely was kinda sloppy but atleast it was HUMAN-made slop #like yeah it wasnt the best for its time but we really did not know how much worse things would get #the scifi concept was beautiful and now all those gorgeous sprites and backgrounds are just left to rot or be reused as costumes #i think it couldve been even more interesting if the writers delved deeper into those themes of war n conflict n oppression #and it had the potential to provide some relevant and important commentary if only pb werent money-fueled cowards #truly the potential-man of choices #playchoices #across the void #choices atv #andy.txt #and now theyre probably doing some ai sequel to hero... sighhh #i remember when there was a choices multiverse and theories about how atv es and hero were all connected
