The star is used as an advent decoration in Sweden and is usually removed 20 days after christmas at the latest. I find that kind of boring tbh, it gets so dark after. So in some kind of happy protest my christmas tree is still standing proud and not yet demolished by the cat.
Aw, that’s lovely! Yeah, they’re mostly holiday decorations in the US too, but I love mine so much I just leave it up all year round. The cats like it too, they like the stripey lights it throws.

Ikea wishes it had the Cryptids for catalog spreads.
I mean, legit, there are at least 3, potentially as many as 5 Ikea products in that photo, for a couple of giftcards I would happily bring the Cryptids to a photoshoot.

I mean, I understand your envy and rage :D but 15 hours after I took that photo I did have to go outside, which is the price I must pay.

Thank you! I saw the real thing when I was in New York about a year ago and fell in love. I don’t know what it is about that Vermeer in specific since it’s hardly more dramatic or special than most, but something in it speaks to me.

This is very divisive. Does anyone know it’s source?
I suspect the maker of the infographic took an informal poll of their friends :D I don’t think it’s terribly official or relies on actual data.
